Ghost Story 1

A Dead Mother's Voice

I have had several unexplained experiences in my life, but one that upset me greatly happened 13 years ago. This is absolutely true.

My mother had always been a regular visitor at my home all through my married life and helped me with my children when they were small.

When she could no longer get about, I found her a small rented bungalow, just minutes away from my house, so that I could look after her.

For 8 years I cared for her and my children visited her often.

By the time she died, my children were all grown up and my daughter had a baby girl of her own. About a week before the baby's first birthday she told me "I just want to see Amy be one". Meaning that she wanted to see my daughter's child reach her first birthday. She did not have any lingering disease and had all her faculties to the end.

She died less than two weeks after Amy's birthday.

The day before her funeral, which was a hot July day, at around 5am, the telephone rang. My mother had been in the habit of calling me early just before she died. I had to walk to the landing where we had a small telephone on the wall and as the sun was very bright, I drew the curtains in my bedroom. I was fully awake.

On answering the telephone, my mother's unmistakable voice spoke to me. I asked her where she was and she replied" I don't know". This upset me very much, as my mother never spoke of spiritual matters or the progression of the spirit, and would indeed wonder where she was.

Ghost Story 2

The Ghost in the Uniform

This experience occurred about two years ago.

Me and my boyfriend were having a two week holiday around our country, New Zealand. We ended up staying at a quaint little B&B style accommodation near Tongariro National Park.

We were in bed, on our second night there, and I was asleep. I suddenly came awake and I felt the bed been shaken.

I looked to my left and there was a man in an old army uniform. Like, in the 1800's or something. He was kicking the bed and, although no words were coming out, he seemed to be saying "wake up".

I was frightened so I reached for my boyfriend but saw that he was choking. His eyes were closed, his brow was sweaty and he appeared to be asleep but he was struggling for breath and all pale. I figured that he was having a nightmare so I frantically shook him awake.

He came out of it gasping for breath and after I grabbed him a glass of water and waited for him to calm down I asked him what happened. He told me that he was having a nightmare that a man was strangling him to death. I said that was weird and then told him about the man who had woken me up. I figured that it was a dream, even though I wasnt entirely convinced.

Then my boyfriend gave me the fright of my life when he gasped and said that the man who was strangling him in his dream also had an old style army uniform on. My boyfriend wanted to compare the physical attributes of the man in the uniform but I was too scared to talk about it anymore.

Needless to say, we were scared to death and left in the evening.

Ghost Story 3

The Haunted 1950's House

Dear Sir/Madam,

I have just found your site on a search engine and I would like to share my own experiences with you.

There are several since they are all within the family home from which I am the third generation of the family to live in it.

My parents still live in the house with me and my fiance and two of my grandparents died within the house. The house itself was built in the 1950's. To make it easier for myself I will list some of the stuff that happens within the house in bullet points.

1) In the hallway, when you walk from the kitchen, you can feel someone following you inches from your back. This feeling often follows you either part way up the stairs or exits through the front door. A family friend has often commented, not knowing about the above, that she feels something brushing by her when she enters the house as if someone was passing her.

2) On the ground floor we have a side room/granny flat. This room has always had a strange feeling to it and my grandma did die in there over 10 year ago. My own personal experiences have included seeing shadows, hearing someone call my name and sensing someone in the room just staring at you. I have often thought that there is a "vortex" in bathroom part of the room. My mother, who now sleeps in the room, has spoken of feeling a hand gently brushing her forehead and/or cheeks when she has been stressed. My fiance, when he first visited and was never told about the "happenings", used that room as a guest room. The next morning he confronted me saying he could feel someone standing in the room staring at him and that it had freaked him out. Another family friend, who is an untrained medium so to speak, has recently confirmed that there is a "vortex" in this room and she refuses to go into the room on her own.

3) I saw the face of a little girl in my bedroom last May. When my fiance put his hand in the area he commented that it was icy cold. This is curious to me since I cannot explain why a little girl would be in the house.

4) A couple of winters a go I saw the face of a middle aged woman with long dark hair looking through the window. At first I thought it was my own reflection since our eyes connected with each other at the same time. But her face was at an angel that made that impossible plus it was as if her body was higher then the window and therefore was having to come from above in order to look through the window.

5) When everyone is downstairs, including the pets, you can sometimes here something running around in my bedroom. Most of the time it sounds like a childs run.
