Recommended viewing settings: I recommend viewing my BBC MotD or ITV caps at either double their original resolution (common option available in most media players, often referred to as zoom or video size) or at most full screen if you are using 1024 x 768 screen resolution or less, and since my captures are usually widesceen, you will of course have black bars to contend with which help retain the widesceen aspect ratio.  Or of course feel free to view my videos at their original resolution. ;)  

Another little tip is not to sit to close to your monitor when viewing material full screen, you'd be suprised how much better the picture looks if you leave atleast a 1 metre gap,...oh and this can be applied to anyone's videos.

Whenever I download a video, I can here the audio, but get no picture?

-The most common cause for this problem is the lack of the Xvid CODEC installed on your PC/laptop etc, simplly by installing the Xvid CODEC you will be able to play any Xvid encoded video and the majority of AVI videos are encoded using Xvid. You can obtain the Xvid CODEC here. Or you could download VLC Media Player which is armed with built in CODECS and should pretty much play any media file out there.

What does "BBC MotD"/"MotD2"  stand for?

- The BBC's flagship live/highlights football programme is called 'Match of the Day' (MotD) and its sister programme is called 'Match of the Day 2' (MotD2). They only show EPL highlights (not full games), FA cup games (full and highlights), certain international matches (live and highlights)

What about "SSN" and "ITV"?

- 'SSN' stands for Sky Sports News, a dedicated sports news channel which often shows (limited) highlights or goals. ITV is a UK channel which broadcasts mainly English League Cup and UEFA CL/Cup games.

What are your capture specificications?

-I usually cap in a widescreen frame (exception being SSN material) and use Xvid for video compression and 56K or 96K MPEG layer 3 for audio compression.

The font in your logo [  ] looks familiar, where have I seen it before?

-Its the Simpsons/Akbar font, I use it as an ode to one of my all time favourite TV show, 'The Simpsons'.

So what's up with having a YouTube account (TheManThatIsF54)  and not uploading any your videos to it?

-When my first very successful YouTube account was deleted I vowed that if my second account was also deleted I would not use YouTube again and simply rely on other people to upload my videos.    However it became necessary to create an account to get in touch with some of the uploaders for various reasons. I also wanted to leave comments and access the videos YouTube requires an account for so I had to create account #3, TheManThatIsF54.

What software do you use to capture/edit/encode all these videos?

-I use VirtualDub’s capture mode to capture the raw uncompressed material and use VirtualDubMod to edit and encode my videos. Big thanks to all those involved in the upkeep of these programs, special memtion to Avery Lee, the founder of VirtualDudb.

Why do you use Zshare as your default file host?

-In an ideal world I would use Rapidshare.com because its the fastest file host, to download from, unfortunately ALOT of people have compatibility issues with it. MegaUpload also causes problems for downloaders. I have found Zshare to be the most compatible file host of the lot, yes I know at certain times it can be slow, but have a little patience! 

However I will appease the situation by creating Rapidshare mirrors for very large files and of course you can always view my videos via YouTube/DailyMotion.
