OI! ACCIDENT CALLS IT QUITS
After 8 years,
Freak Oi! has decided to call it quits.
The reasons are many but mainly the band hasn't progressed the way
we wished and due to various personal issues. OK, so it sucks, but hey: Who
cares?
We wish to thank our fans, everyone who attended our concerts,
all booking-agents, record-buyers, sing-alongers, critics,
shit-spreaders etc. YOU KNOW WHO YOU ARE!
Special thanks go to UFFA (Trondheim), Kongelige Ræver (Halden) and Club Utopia (Skövde, Sweden) for letting us have shedloads of fun. Extra special thanks to The Troublemakers for carrying a load for us, and to Blisterhead for their hospitality. And thanks to Los Fastidios for many good concerts together!
We will play two concerts before disbanding fully;
one in Horten and a farewell-gig here in Bergen, (place/date etc TBA, check
this site for updates)
Members of Freak Oi! will continue in other projects.
Drummer Ragnhild has several bands, among them Bitches and Bastards,
guitarist Bobbo and bassist Bjarte has new,
seperate projects (as of yet untitled) and radio Aggresso!
will continue till we choke on boredom.

The gig at Stavanger punkrock festival is cancelled and we apologise to the festival for cancelling in the last minute.
April 30'th we play at Teknikerkroen at Nordnes in Bergen toghether with Beinkjør, Bitches&Bastards, Tarmer, Dead Puppy & Hellhikers.
27.03-05:
The gig in Oslo was great! We really enjoyed playing at Barrikaden, the crowd was fantastic and we'de really like to come back another time and play for you guys!

At April 21'th we play at hulen in Bergen. A support gig for the animal rights group NOAH. And the day after we leave for Stavanger to play at this years punkfestival!

We had a great tour!!! Thanks to everyone who helped this be a fantastic experince for us! We would like to thank Los Fastidios, Blisterhead for giving us a place to sleep and being great on stage(!), Ronny Lauritsen and wife for hotel and nachspiel! Thanks to Troublemakers for lifting Bjarte out of bed when he was sound asleep and we had to leave Halden. Thanks to Bjørn Tore from All In Black and a BIG thanks to our driver, Hans who drove all the way to Sweden and back just for us!!! Thursday 23'th of September, we start our tour! We begin here in Bergen at kvarteret toghether with Jef from Bergen and Los Fastidios from Italy! The 24'th we play at Feelgood in halden, 25'th: at the Club Utopia in Skövde, Sweden and finally; on 25'th at Elm Street in Oslo!

In September we are going on a mini-tour in Norway and in Sweden.
23'th of September: Kvarteret in Bergen - warming up for los fastidios from Italy.

We're playing with Los Fastidios from Italy and JEF from bergen September 23 at Kvarteret in Bergen!

Bassist Bjarte Malums solo-project Balle Malurt has been booked to this years Strange Days-festival. It takes place in Telemark county in Norway the last week in August. Check out www.strangedays.net for more info (although it´s pretty thin..Bjarte´s not even MENTIONED!!) He has previously played at an anti-war demonstration gathering 500-1000 people and at various pro-squat and Reclaim the Streets-arrangements. In short, Balle Malurt plays dirty, acoustic singer/songwriter(sic!) punkish pop-rock with lyric-themes about yer usual stuff; love, hate, revolution etc. BUT with a twist. Yeah! Be sure to check him out at this years Strange Days.

Nothing much is happening at this time, Tony has recently become a dad for the second time, a little girl!! So it is understandable that we have taken a little break. But we will come back, don't you worry!!!

Saturday 20 of march we play at Torgallmenningen in Bergen. This is a part of the anti-war demonstration this day! The posters say we go on stage at 15:00, but we start playing ca. 14:30. And after Bjarte has a one-man-show!!!

Snach Ohm Tapes are making a compilation with punkbands from Norway, including Freak Oi! Accident! We are also planning our own release at Snach Ohm, collecting some live recordings from 1997 to 2004, including some old and some new tunes. Svindel Records is also making a compilation with norwegian punkbands, including us!
Oi!
Freak Oi! Accident is a streetpunkband from Bergen, Norway who have rather a long history behind it. We started in ´97 with different drummer and bassplayer. We played local clubs and it´s only the recent years that it´s started to take off. With Bjarte on bass and Ragnhild on drums the band has started to get gigs out of town.
In April 2002 we played at Stavanger Punk Rock Festival along with oldtimers like GBH and Cockney Rejects. In may we played at Pøbelrocken in Trondheim, Ex-Cathedra and Blisterhead were some of the attractions there. August 15`th we played with Haggis from Stavanger and Exploited and recently we joined Beinkjør, Tarmer and Teenage Highway from Bergen at the Østfold Punk Rock Festival; 24`th to 25`th of October.
We soon have a new release out, but we have a 7" out for sale, "Dårlig Tid". We also have a live-DVD, buttons and t-shirts.
Here we are at Uffa, during "Pøbelrocken".We played 17´th of May.
