Recommended DJ Software
There are many pieces of software on today's
market which can literally
take most of the work out of running your broadcasting studio,
and can actuallyput your station on "Auto Pilot"
when you aren't there. These programs are perfect for
stations of all types, but mostly for people who want to
broadcast 24 hours 7 days but cannot be in the studio for
that many hours at at time! We are not trying to sell any
of these software titles nor are we authorized distributors.
This information is made available to you
as a recommendation only!
BPM Studio
BPM Studio allows you to manage your playlists as well as schedule your programming, all from
the desktop of your PC. Schedule commercial breaks, programming, and music.
A great way to put your station on "Auto Pilot" while you are at work!
There is a demo version available that shuts itself down after one hour of use, or
you can purchase the full version at the above website!
Winkochan
Winkochan is another great program which allows you to manage your playlists
and operate your radio station in "Auto Pilot" mode. Winkochan is available in its
original freeware version (version 5.1) downloadable at no cost from the following website:

The freeware version has absolutely no usage limitations, but is far inferior to the new version
which consequently is not freeware (version 8.5) is available for puchase from their main site.
OTS DJ
A bit pricy, but well worth it for the serious broadcaster. Realtime mixing software with microphone
mixer as well. Virtually eliminates the need for an external mixer (although I would still
recommend that you use one). There is a free demo that you can download from
their main website as well. Perfect for any radio station!
Automatic DJ
http://www.djprograms.com/program/30.htm
Automatic DJ is a simple and easy to use program for partial station automation. Although
it has a few less features than the above mentioned programs, it does save the station
operator time, effort, and frustration by managing a barrage of playlists as well as
smootly fading and cuing of music automatically from track to track. Even programs this simple
can really add a professional sound to an otherwise amateurish sounding station.
Oh, and did I mention that it dosen't cost anything??
It is FREEWARE!! If that isn't the best part, I don't know what is?!!
