David Robert Joseph Beckham OBE was born in Leytonstone London on 2nd of May 1975. He is 180cm tall and weighs 67kg. Hair is Brown and eyes are green. David is married to Victoria Adams and has two children Brooklyn and Romeo. David was a member of Manchester United's highly successful FA Youth Cup team, collecting a winners' medal in 1992 (scoring in the away leg at Crystal Palace) and a runners-up medal in 1993. He also qualified for a Pontins Central League medal in 1994, playing 16 games for the reserves.     During the 1996/97 season David came of age, proving to be a permanent fixture in the United and England teams. His match-winning performances for Manchester United during the season were enough to convince his fellow professionals to vote for him in the PFA awards, and he won the Young Player of the Year award, and came second in the Player of the Year voting. In the same year he also helped United to the European Cup semi-final and another Premier League Championship.

  When he was twelve years old, he won a Bobby Charlton Soccer Skills award. The award was presented to him at Old Trafford on a match day.

 David Beckham played with team number 7 for Manchester United but before he had had  the shirt number 10. When Teddy Sheringham joined he took number 10 shirt so Beckham moved to the number 7 shirt which was of Eric Cantona.

David put's his footballing skills down to hours of continuous practice and training. Especially working with his dad and on his own.

David has never wished to play for any team other than Manchester United. He has been training with the team since he was fourteen years old. It was a pity he left.

David Beckham married Victoria Adams of the Spice Girls group on 4th July at Luttrellstown Castle in Dublin.

David and Victoria have two sons, Brooklyn & Romeo. David has Brooklyn's name tattooed on his lower back and Romeo's across the back of his shoulders. He also has Victoria's name tatooed on his arm in Hindi.

David was made captain of the England squad on 15 November 2000 in a friendly match against Italy after serving as vice captain for the previous two internationals.

 Beckham admires Ronaldo and infact he admitted playing right back towards the end of the World Cup game against Brazil in order to be near the bench just so that he could get Ronaldo to sign his shirt for Brooklyn.
