Past Remains

A view of yesterday from today

RAF Poltimore, Exeter, Devon

RAF Poltimore is comprised of two main buildings; one which was used as a radar control station during WW2 and the other which was used during cold war activities. The whole site is now owned and used by a paint ball company and has been decked out with packing crates, oil drums and camouflage netting inside, plus an area outside between the two buildings, with the addition of old jeeps amongst the crates and drums.

I was fortunate enough to be included in a tour arranged by three friends from Plymouth. On the day we were there a film was being made and there were several 'zombies' strolling around and being made-up for their roles, which was good fun too.

Whilst copying pages prior to changing my website builder, I only recently realised that there's very little on this article. Therefore I'll be adding more photos and information as soon as I can. Meanwhile, more photos can be seen in the Photo Gallery, including some of the zombies.
