XV: Fight
Roy hissed and growled at the word ‘Fuhrer’. That did not bode well for the three. That man had been the bane of his existence ever since he joined the military. But Roy had to thank Bradley for bringing him closer to his lieutenant. Without Bradley’s interference he would have never been with his dog and then Maes wouldn’t exist.
“I’ll rip that bastard apart. Dumb fools didn’t check my pockets before throwing me in that god damned cage.” The Taisa purred, pulling out his ignition gloves. That would make the fight so much easier.
“You’ll be murdered before you can even get near him. Those soldiers aren’t playing around about the Fuhrer’s safety.” Havoc whined, ears falling against his skull as his tail drooped pathetically. Roy just smiled and scratched the dog’s ears.
“It’ll be all right, Jean. Don’t worry. They won’t fight back, I’m sure of it.”
“If you’re sure…” He trailed off and sighed. He knew it was pointless to argue with his Taisa.
Roy nodded and ascended the stairs, disappearing behind the door. It left Havoc and Ed alone in the darkness of the damp basement.
“Hey, lieutenant Havoc. Any chance that what you lost is down here?” Edward asked, looking up at the dog chimera. He sniffed about and sighed pathetically.
“No. If he was down here, he’d be whining. His scent would be down here as well, but I neither hear or smell him.” The dog slumped onto the ground with a whimper, he hoped he wouldn’t lose his son and his lover, but even he was doubtful at this point.
Roy closed the door and looked around. The Fuhrer sat there, drinking a cup of tea. He smiled and set the cup down.
“I was wondering when you’d get up here, Mustang. You’re lucky I sent Fullmetal down there, or you and that mutt would have starved.”
Roy snarled, ears drawing back. “You’re a bastard! A sick and twisted bastard.”
“Am I Mustang? I’m not the one who’s a feline.” He growled, getting up from behind his desk. He took his sword from his sheath and lifted his eye patch.
Roy just growled with determination. He was not going to lose to one like Bradley. There was just no way.
Roy snapped just as he narrowly dodged the sword aimed for his throat. Bradley was consumed with flame, but he continued approaching the cat chimera. His flesh was peeling off, blood boiling, but he kept coming.
His ears fell back as he snapped again, but still the homunculus came. The cat hisses and scarcely dodged the sword stroke, but not fast enough for it shredded his shoulder.
This fight seemed hopeless.
