The X-Files- this long running series was all about exploring those things that are unexplained by traditional explanations. Agents Fox Mulder and Dana Scully delved into conspiracies about aliens and UFOs, ghosts, strange phenomena, weird mutant creatures, people with odd abilities, the Bermuda triangle and so much more! Last two seasons Robert Patrick and Annabeth Gish joined the show as David Duchovney stepped back after many grueling years of filming. These last two seasons are much better than reviewed at the time- worth it for any fan to go back and watch in hindsight. Only show on currently to be as consistently dark, pensive, action filled and yet thought provoking is SUPERNATURAL- another drama with strong underlying mythology and two main characters on a quest.  All seasons available on DVD and in repeats on SciFi and TNT.
