A story begins...

Welcome to the homepage for the upcoming RPG sequel to LoZ: Four Swords, made with Rm2k (RPGMaker 2000). I hope to have a demo up about two months after my exams...which makes it three months away.

Any game/site queries can go to fourquests@hotmail.com - I'll be happy to answer 'em.

News (01/05/04)

The map area, North Sabiduria Slums, is two houses away from completion. The whole thing will contain 15 areas, and is 100*100 squares in size. It contains such cool things as the Sword-Trainer's house (a nod to the one in MM and the later one in WW), Han's Arms, and Ben the Keymaker - who introduces you to Key Putty (more on that later).

The entire save system is finished, save for a few things which need tweakage.

The next thing to do is work on East and West Sabiduria Slums, which are both smaller at 50*100 squares in size.

News (08/05/04)

North Sabiduria Slums is finished at last!

What you can see below is a very rough idea of what I want the overworld to be like. I'm probably gonna change the chipset as soon as I find a replacement, though... the square edges of land trailing out into the sea really bugs me with this one. Also, the town bits on the inside of the wall will go at some point - they look too much like ice-cream.

You might also notice the funky title present on the overworld screen...I'm working on a title n' press system like in Chrono Trigger. It's not really that hard,  just time-consuming.

Well, work on East Sabiduria slums will start soon, but right now I'm messing around with coding for some of the harder monsters (like Poes, which turn visible and invisible at will, changing form after they are defeated) and drawing stuff. Oh, and I have to get the guarded Arx Entrances drawn out. Dang.

Updatering expected again soon.

Rough Overworld

Overworld Change
Hmm..possibly better? I dunno. Could do with some help on this one...

Monsters Galore!
Well, I've decided to draw most of the monsters for this game myself (all the creatures except those which I can convert from official art). ---Have a gander...heh. This is Mine-002, (yes there's more), and I'm pretty pleased with it. A series of disturbingly humanoid monsters that appear in...a mine. The lava background will be replaced shortly.
