Regina Cook Williams:
Editor/Publisher/Founder. Ms. Williams is a graduate of Williams Baptist College, Walnut Ridge, Arkansas and her career has included DJ, law secretary, Arkansas State Parks Interpreter, staff writer for a local magazine and is currently editor/publisher of The Storyteller, A Writers Magazine. As editor, she has been accepted into the 2002 edition of Who’s Who in U. S. Writer’s, Editors and Poets. Her work has been in Smile: American Short Humor, Black Powder Annual, Rural Arkansas, Black Petals, Futures Magazine, Ozarks Monthly, Fiction Addiction, Dead Mule, Writing on Walls Anthology and Echoes from the Ozarks Anthology. She has also won awards with Heartland Writers Guild, Ozark Creative Writers Conference, Arkansas Writers and several awards for her poetry. She has completed two novels, Washed In the Blood, a suspense novel set in the Ozark Foothills and The Traveler, a futuristic sci-fi novel.
In the last two years, Ms. Williams has spoke at Saturday Writers Workshop, Ozarks Writers League, Hemingway-Pheiffer Writing Retreat, and Ozark Creative Writers Conference. Ruthan Riney:
Associate Editor, is a homemaker, florist, church secretary and writer. She reviews books for The Storyteller and won her first award for a story called Awesome. An avid reader, she critiques subscriber’s short stories for the magazine. (Critique fees are listed along with the ad rates.) Her talents also include painting, crafts, cooking and gardening. She passed her many talents on to her daughters, who are also a part of The Storyteller staff. She lives in Maynard with her husband, Dick and daughter Brenna.
Jamie Johnson:
Assistant Editor. Jamie has won awards for her work and was nominated for a Pushcart for her poem about 911. She has her own web design business Cheydok Designs. She lives in Maynard with her husband, Gordon, and two children. assistantedjamie@yahoo.com.
Dusty Richards:
Article Editor is the author of 32 novels, the latest, Ranchers Law, A Territorial Marshal series, published by St. Martin’s Press. He has written countless articles, including a “How-To” series for The Storyteller. He is the current president of Ozark Creative Writers and served on the Board of Directors for over a decade. He was also past vice-president of Oklahoma Writers Federation and a Director of Ozark Writers League in Branson, Missouri. Besides his involvement in writers’ conferences, he teaches a day long course on “How to Write Selling Fiction”. A graduate of Southern Arizona State University, he spent 32 years with Tyson Food Management as well as TV anchor, and a gold card rodeo announcer. Otis Lawson:
Art Director has published two books, Smile: American Short Humor and Rhyme, A Journey Through Life. His work has appeared in numerous small press magazines as well. He is a contract aircraft designer by trade and an artist and writer by choice. His artwork has graced the covers of The Storyteller for several years. His is now working on an espionage/political mystery. Otis and his wife, Donna lives in Durant, Oklahoma.
Nancy Riney:
Associate Art Director, has been interested in art most of her life. While in school, she designed the sets for the Jr. and Sr. plays and won numerous awards for her work, including Honorable Mention from Time magazine when a Jr. in high school. She has written and illustrated a children’s book and is looking for an agent. Nancy’s artwork has been featured in The Storyteller almost since its conception, when she designed our logo. Her dedication, professionalism, and knowledge as a paramedic have earned her the respect and admiration of her peers. She lives in Warm Springs, Arkansas.
