Proboards is an established Message Board provider that has been around for years and is often compared to InvisionFree as both Host enable quick set-up and little Coding or uploading knowledge to get started.
Proboard's support forum is very active and the staff are always improving the Forum while listening to the User's Suggestions. Probaords offers a shorter Domain making the URL easier to remember than most InvisionFree URLS. Proboards is a Fuss free Forum host that will grant you a Forum in seconds but it lacks the Features of its competitors, read on.


Skinning and Hacks
Proboard's strength is not its skin options or Customisation as it includes a confusing and slightly non user friendly Headers and Footers System and also requires you to
copy some coding to the Headers and Footers if you want to achieve a skin that contains more than just simple Tables and Colors. This link may be handy if you are looking to design your own skin.

Proboards also struggles to compete with the amount of Skins available to InvisionFree and PHPBB Forum users. Its tough finding professional skins so you are generally better off making your own or asking someone with some experience to make you one.
The Default Table widths and Layout that probaords provides you with is very basic and not as classy as IF in my opinion. Some may appreciate this but most won't.
Surprisingly Proboards features an RPG Hack that is just as good as IF's. Sadly though Proboards doesn't offer much else in the area of exclusive hacks but who knows what they may have planned.

Advertising
Proboards advertising Program consists of Text Links to Travel and accommodation Sites at the Bottom of the page along with large Google ads which are rotated with a Travel Image and set of links at the current time.
Proboards does place a lot of ads on your Forum but there are no popups and it could be worse. Ad-Free is currently an available, making matters slightly worse.

Support
Proboards simply offer a successful Support Forum if you have any trouble, you cant do much more I guess.
