BIOGRAPHICAL SKETCH



Robert Lester Reese was born in Fort Lewis, Washington, on July 10, 1941. He received his elementary education in the University Place Public Schools and his secondary education in the Clover Park Public Schools. In 1960 he entered the University of Puget Sound, graduating in 1964 with a Bachelor of Science degree in geology. He attended graduate school at the University of Montana for one year. From 1965 to 1970 he was a geophysicist for Geophysical Service International in Calgary, Alberta; Dhahran, Saudi Arabia; Beirut, Lebanon; London, England, Tripoli, Libya; and Los Angeles, California. He attended Arizona State University from January 1970 to June 1972 while studying for the degree of Master of Science in geology. He held a research assistant position since September 1971 in the Department of Chemistry under Dr. John Holloway. He is a member of Sigma Gamma Epsilon and American Institute of Mining Engineers. He was married to Jennifer Ann Sackey on June 4, 1972.
