Forth Fly Past

This is a website comprising of aerial photographs of the area of the Village of Forth near Lanark , Scotland.

Most of the photos on this site were taken in 1980 - 2004.

Forth Village is situated near Lanark , Scotland on the A706 .It is twinned with Yvetot & Hemmingen . Forth stands 1000feet above sea level , with a population of just under 3000

West Forth Community Woodland lies near the village of the Forth. It was planted in 1995 and provides the a variety of walks and rambles. One of the most appealing features of the woodland is the views of the countryside, with Tinto in full view nearby. The Mousewater flows past the site on its way to the River Clyde and lucky vistors may spot an otter. This area is rich in history and wildlife and is well loved and used by the local community. Buzzards are a frequent sight all year round and in the summer there are a variety of insects and birds to be seen.

The village of Forth lies on the A706 Whitburn to Lanark Road.
