Peter Brocklebank’s absence is a great pity but if Bob Platt can help out for the majority of the matches we should not be weakened. After losing heavily to a team we might have hoped to beat , Formby gained a valuable half point against Chester 1 and will face their second team with confidence. That confidence was well placed as led by early wins on boards 4 and 5 followed by draws on 2and 1 Phil was able to accept a draw when better placed. Formby are mid table with a 50% record
Avery good win in the cup against a weakened but still strong Wallasey puts us in the semi-final
