Stewart Haslinger was equal 1st in the South Wales Congress after his success in the South Lakes Congress. He is now preparing for the British Championship taking place from 27th July in Liverpool.
Phil Fisher had a very successful South Lakes Congress, at which Mike Haslinger also performed above his grading.
At the club, Phil Fisher is the new club champion beating Paul Jordan in the final play-off, after a draw in the first game, whilst André Eagle beat Rob Haseman in the Challengers Final.
The club now meet on Tuesday nights at the Royal Hotel on Liverpool Road but will return to Ravenmeols in September.
It is hoped that a large Formby contingent will attend the ECF Congress in Liverpool. Details and entry forms can be found on the ECF site.
