This song came in a dream, three days after September 11, those days when everyone's emotions were so disrupted...
In the dream, I entered a room full of people who were sitting quiet and sad; There was a guy trying to play some chords on his guitar for his girlfriend; When I heard the chords, I realized that I knew the song, and said to him: 'I know the song you are trying to play, let me play it for you'.
He handed the guitar to me, and I played the chords again and again, while singing the first words and melody. At that moment I woke up, looked at the clock and it was 3:46 am, and I just knew that the dream was a song about September 11; I ran and got my guitar and started to play it over and over, (because dreams of music are forgotten quickly after waking up and I knew that by experience).
Later that morning, I called my music partner Minnie, a songwriter herself, and my sister Celia, to tell them about the dream; Between us we finished writing the lyrics.
