The building started out as a private dwelling in 1604, the first known owner was Mrs Musgrove in 1704. In about 1810 parts of the premises were used as a Beer house known as The White Horse. In 1848 Joseph Pursey licenced the property fully and renaming it The Lamb Tavern. Then with the arrival of the railway in 1862 the Hotel was renamed The Railway Hotel, this lasted up until 1984 when the Hotel was renamed The Foresters Arms after a local Forester and Timber merchant called John Bucknall. 
We offer excellent accommodation comprising of a mixture of single, twin, double and family rooms, most of which are en suite. The rooms all have colour televisions as well as Tea & Coffee making facilities. We are more than happy to accept block booking and touring teams.
We also have a cosy restaraunt for evening and lunchtime meals as well as our traditional Sunday roast
We have a Pool room, Beer garden, and an under cover smoking area as well as two comfortable Bars with a great selection of Ales, Ciders and Lagers all served from our temperature controlled cellar.
We are a biker and child friendly establishment that is also happy to meet your four legged friends to.
