The Footscray and District Poultry Club was established on 1st July 1964 when a group of poultry fanciers met at the Pigeon Hall in Regent St Yarraville. Mr. Charlie Chanter was selected as spokesman and consequently the club was formed. Positions were voted for office bearers with R.A.Scott becoming the first President, he has since been voted a life member.

The Sussex Club of Australia was originally formed in 1974 in Sydney and had been in recess since 1977. The Footscray and District Poultry Club met in October 1982 and Reformed and Incorporated it with the Footscray and District Poultry Club.

We have Poultry shows, Sales, Bird days, Family days, Barbecues and Seminars.

We have many years of experience and expertise in poultry, so we can help you with any problems you may be experiencing with your birds, any advice you need, or we can point you in the right direction if necessary.
