Footprints Ministry is a totally volunteer nonprofit charity whose mission is to provide shoes for needy children. Unfortunately, there are many homeless and needy families in the Tampa Bay area, Florida, who are not able to provide shoes for their children. Footprints Ministry collects monetary donations and new shoes and distributes new shoes and socks to the needy children living in our community. Many of the children who recieve shoes from Footprints Ministry have never owned a new pair of shoes. At Footprints Ministry Distributions, each child recieves individual attention, gets their foot measured, and goes one-on-one with a volunteer and gets to try on and select their own new pair of shoes.
Six times a year, Footprints Ministry partners with other charitable organizations in the Tampa Bay area. Our partner agencies include Salvation Army of Clearwater, the San Jose Migrant Mission in Plant City, the Christian Outreach Center of Clearwater, and the Santa Maria Mission of Tampa. Our partner organization does the needs assessment, the location, and schedueles the families in need. Footprints Ministry arrives with a large truck and sets up an entire shoe store, everything but the register. Our distributions provide shoes to 100-600 children in one afternoon. Two-thousand to three-thousand children in the Tampa Bay area recieve new shoes and socks from Footprints Ministry every year.

One night a man had a dream about walking along the beach with the Lord.
The sky flashed scenes from his life.
For each scene, he noticed two sets of footprints in the sand: his and the Lord’s.
After the last scene flashed before him, he looked at the footprints, noticing that at the most difficult times in his life there was only one set of footprints.
“Lord, you said you’d walk with me all the way if I followed you. But during the most troublesome times in my life, there is only 1 set of footprints. Why did you leave me when I needed you most?
The Lord replied, “I love you and would never leave you. In your times of trial and suffering, when you see only one set of footprints, that was when I carried you.”
