We custom fit each child with a brand new pair of socks and shoes during Shoe Distributions. We are a 100% volunteer organization and all socks and shoes are from donations. No funds are used for overhead or staff. Monetary donations are appreciated and we know our stock needs and we have the ability to purchase the shoes at a discount. Our organization has the ability to stretch your dollar further to help those in need and as a 501(C)3 non-profit organization, your donations are tax deductable.
If you plan to donate, shoes and sock sizes are from infant sizes to size 16 mens/womens. We only distribute BRAND NEW socks and shoes. Sneakers are the best choice (particularly styles that are popular with children and teens). Over the years we have found white no-shows (bootie socks) are the children's favorite, although any socks are greatly appreciated. The younger girls seem to favor pink socks. We are usually most in need of boys and mens shoes, but all donations are appreciated. There is no need to worry about sizes of socks and shoes because we always find a home for each pair. One night a man had a dream about walking along the beach with the Lord.
The sky flashed scenes from his life.
For each scene, he noticed two sets of footprints in the sand: his and the Lord’s.
After the last scene flashed before him, he looked at the footprints, noticing that at the most difficult times in his life there was only one set of footprints.
“Lord, you said you’d walk with me all the way if I followed you. But during the most troublesome times in my life, there is only 1 set of footprints. Why did you leave me when I needed you most?
The Lord replied, “I love you and would never leave you. In your times of trial and suffering, when you see only one set of footprints, that was when I carried you.”
