A true Londoner and a dedicated Blue, John Terry is recognised by many observers as one of the best center-backs in the world.
His dominating presence, powerful physique and athletic ability make him a key part of Chelsea's defense and recent success.
Terry made his debut for Chelsea in 1999 and established himself as a first pick player in season 2001-02.
A period of instability caused by off-field problems followed, but after coming back from injury in October 2002 he worked hard to prove he had put his 'youthful indiscretions' behind him.
He is now an inspiring and influential captain for Chelsea and a highly regarded member of the current England international squad.
