For The Love Of Cooking

Based in Roxas City, Capiz, ( The Seafood Capital of the Philippines). " Food Tripping " offers my personal  home recipes, experiences in feeding others, restaurant reviews, and other food-related musings. My primary catch phrase is from the "Rules for Life"  an eastern philosophy of Tibetan monks often attributed to H.H. the Dalai Lama: "Approach love and cooking with great abandon". Technically Speaking

When I come home from school, I've usually had a day full of teaching students a lot of things, I'm tired, but often times I cook for my family. tired as I am..I don't want to spend too long on my feet cooking. I also don't want to eat too late so complicated cooking during weeknights is a big no..no. for me.

I used to resort to take-out and plain adobo, tinola , misua etc. a lot, but have expanded my weeknight horizons considerably thanks to the concept of moving beyond the idea of recipes to concentrate on technique and principles. I love reading, but if I have to stop and do more than cursory research, dinner isn't going to happen.

And so.. over time I have developed certain techniques on how to cook meals in less than 30 mins and still taste as good. In time i would be sharing to you more about this.
