Fofsag Malaysia

1964 – 77        Informal Guilds existed of Old Scouts in Penang and Kuching and Kuala Lumpur.

1978                First General meeting was held on May 8th for starting the First BP Guild in Kuala Lumpur. Mr. Foong became the first Chairman. On the 9^th Sept the first dinner was held in Hotel Merlin.

1979                On 22 March 22 members made an asscent to Gunong Tahan and all for the first time.

In August 79, Mr.Foong Siew Loong, Tajinder Singh & Vijaykumar attended as observers the 13^th Genral Assembly  held in Bergan, Norway.

1980 _ 81        BP Guild members visited Sabah and made an ascent to Mount Kinabalu on 17-06-1980.

BP Guild and Trefoil Guild members meet to form a Joint Council and draw up a constitution for FOFSAG Malaysia.

1981                                Mr.Ramadas attends GA in Dijon, France  as a CB member.

1982                                Puan Siti Aziah Zahari, Tengku Mukminah &  Nik Zainab attended the 4^th Asia Pacific Regional Conference in Sangam, Poona, India

1985                Mr. Jim Waddell from the Scottish Guild on route to the 16^th GA visited Malaysia to encourage us to become members of the IFOFSAG.

On 23^rd March 1985, Scout & Guide Associations of Malaysia accepted FOFSAG Malaysia’s constitution. Subsequently our membership was approved at the 16^th GA held in Christchurch, New Zealand in February 85

1987                FOFSAG Malaysia had is official launch on the 14^th February at Federal Hotel, officiated by Tuanku Bainun.

1988                Ms.Babarah attended the 6^th Asia Pacific conference in Bandung, Indonesia.

1990                BP Guild Ibu Pejabat organised the first Outreach run to raise funds for welfare projects.

1992                BP Guild Ibu Pejabat raises RM28,544 in charity fun run for Tasputra Perkim welfare home.

1993                Four members attended the 20^th General Assembly at Yogyakarta in Indonesia. Tajinder, Bernard, Lynn Toh & Ho Pat Hoon were the delegates.

1994                BP Guild Terengganu hosted the 1^st National BP Guild Seminar on the 27^th & 28^th August in Kuala Terengganu, Terengganu.

1995                IFOFSAG Chairman Paulli Martin pays us a Visit.

1996                Council of BP Guild Penang hosted the 2^nd National BP Guild Seminar at Komtar. (Lim Cheng Chuan was the Organising Committee Chairman)

1997                FOFSAG Malaysia hosted the 10^th Asia Pacific Conference in Marang, Teregganu with 120 members participating, Organizing Chairman was Tajinder Singh Sohanpal.

1998                                Fellowship Day Treasure Hunt 1998 hosted by Council of BP Guild Penang.

Mr.Kumara Das oraganised a Fellowship Nite BBQ in Ratonda Club,  to form the Meleka BP Guild.

1999                The 23^rd ISGF World Conference in New Delhi was attended by Tajinder Singh.

BP Guild Ibu Pejabat Hosted the 3^rd National BP Guild Seminar in Genting. Organising Chairman was Mr. Bernard Yap Chin Teck.

2000                Delegates Tajinder, Datin Zalillah & Tengku Mukminah attended the 11thAsia Pacific Regional Conference in Napier, New Zealand. (15^th to 19^th October)

Trefoil Guild members provided the Home Hospitality for the International Brownie Festival 2000.

2001                Kuching Chin Che BP Guild hosted the 4^th National BP Guild Seminar at Grand Continental Hotel, Kuching, Sarawak. Organising Chairman was Mr. Raymond Tay.

2002                Seven members attended 24^th ISGF World Conference in Vancouver, Datin Zallilah, Mr&Mrs Ramalingam, Mr&Mrs Ahalasuntharam , Ms. Babarah and Y.M. Tunku  Mukminah Jewa

2003                FOFSAG Malaysia celebrates the 50^th Years of ISGF with Ms Helen Baker, ISGF World Chairman at the Royal Lake Club. (Organising Chairman, Datin Zalillah )
