The Forest of Dean Motorcycle Club.

For Riders of Bikes of all makes, sizes and variety!

The Beginning

Back in 1999,sat in a pub one evening with a couple of fellow bikers, we were discussing, what a good idea it would be to have a good local motorcycle club. That’s as far as it got UNTIL, Andy and Claire Taylor, got off their arses, found a venue, put an advert into the local paper, to see, if any, response.

At first meeting, April 1999, Andy, Claire + 4 others met at the arranged venue, Along with these members it was decided to have meetings on a Tuesday evening on a fortnight rotation, so another advert was put into the same local rag.

The second meeting pulled in a staggering number, of 42 people, interested in joining a local mcc, of which half signed up there and then.

Members have come and gone over the years, but the club is still very active, doing various things, including charity events, to raise money for local charities, weekends away on bike rallies, and social events, meeting with other clubs, Sunday and midweek ride outs, trips to shows, and anything else to do with our love for biking.

The club now meets every other Tuesday at the ‘Rank Xerox Club’ Vantage Point Mitcheldean, around about 8pm.
