The 10' PolyTip version converts any floating line into a versitile sink tip through simple and guick loop to loop connections. A continous taper from flyline through to tippet makes casting easier and the range of densities offers true depth control and faster sink rates than a sink tip line. These super supple leaders maintain a tight casting loop ensuring maximum acceleration of the fly. Tapered monofilament leaders on the other hand have a butt section that is simply too stiff to transmit casting energy efficiently. The choice of tippet length then depends on the air resistance of the fly. With a lightly dressed fly a 5' Polyleader can easily turn over up to 15' of level tippet.
