The result is a line that sinks tip first giving a straight line profile from rod tip to fly and a precise sink rate regardless of line size - essential when an exact fish holding depth has been determined.

Many PVC lines rely on the heavier belly section, still leaving the tip & fly still trailing feet higher in the water. Even so called "Uniform Sink" lines often line size!
