Hardy Marksman Fly Reel
The Marksman range of three, lightweight, click-check reels look stunning but are supremely practical –
especially on small rivers and streams. The unique spindle-less design greatly reduces the reel’s weight.
A large central bearing reduces the reel’s weight. A large central bearing set into the cage of the spool
provides the smoothest rotation. The reel is also heavily ventilated, bringing down the weight, but with
no reduction in resilience. A fixed, click-set drag system means that you can concentrate on the
intricacies of precision fishing. The spool’s exposed rim allows you to palm control a running fish.
The mid arbor design is perfect for use with lighter lines, which means little or no line memory,
so surface presentation is immaculate.

The 444 Classic Sylk fly line is the first ever fully synthetic fly line to recreate the original appearance and unique performance of the finest natural silk lines from the past 100 years - without all the maintenance and high cost. Skillfully designed for the avid bamboo and fiberglass angler, the 444 Classic Sylk fly line is butter-soft and is smaller in diameter than traditional synthetic floating lines, making it the line of choice for traditional action rod anglers, including those earlier rod designs that have smaller guides. With the traditionalist in mind, Cortland’s technicians have designed this line in a color that nearly matches the look of traditional silk line coated with linseed oil and mucilin. Their suppleness makes them great cold weather lines with virtually any fly rod. This stunning range of entry-level reels offers the trout fisherman
everything he’s ever going to need. Precision engineered quality,
silky performance and total durability at a competitive price.
The Sirrus is lightweight, functional and as it is manufactured
from the highest quality aircraft-grade barstock aluminium, you
can rely on a lifetime of trouble free use. The body is anodised
to a durable silver-satin finish with black, polished aluminium
components for a truly distinguished look. It is available in
three sizes: the three to four weight and the five to six weight
feature normal arbor spools whilst the largest, seven to eight
weight is mid-arbor for faster line retrieval, less line memory
and low start-up inertia. The disc drag mechanism utilises a
one-way floating roller bearing that is fully interchangeable
from left to right-hand wind. The handle features a tactile grip
of black carbon fibre weave, which you will find comfortable to
hold in all extremes of weather. The cageless design encourages
quick and easy line changes whilst the raised, ‘anti-snag’ reel
seat removes the fear of any line tangle when that big fish runs.

This exceptional leader and tippet material is made
from 100% fluorocarbon (PVDF). Fluoroflex Plus is the
strongest, thinnest fluorocarbon on the market with an
incredible strength, for example, 5 lb for 5x material.
It is a slightly softer material than Fluoroflex and ties
excellent knots. The refractory index (1.42) of Fluoroflex
Plus in water (1.33), compared to nylon (1.62) makes it
almost invisible to fish. Fluoroflex Plus, with a density
of 1.72 (compared to nylon of 1.15), sinks quicker and
gets below the surface tension for more effective dry fly,
