The Flying Llamas was the idea of one of my best friends and stars of the Flying Llamas team Travis Johnston. The Flying Llamas was first an idea Travis and I had at a freshman retreat at Rockhurst High School. Travis and I soon became best friends for are love of mischief and paintball. After the school year ended we decided to play in a tournament at a local field in Olathe, Kansas (www.wwpaintball-kc.com). It was Travis’s and Anthony’s (third team member) first time to even see the field and I had only played their once about six months earlier. Well when the three-man tourney was all said and done we finished third in our division and 15 points away from the semi-finals. In the END THE FLYING LLAMAS WAS FORMED.
