BORDER COLLIES
The Border Collie is amongst the most versatile breeds in the world. In
the UK the BC or working sheepdog (un registered BC's) are the dominant
breed working today.
Agility too, is predominantly Borders/ws although other breeds do have their fair share of placings.
It is as a sheep herder that the Border Collie really shows it's true
colours, working way up in the hills, on the trials field, or just
around the farm, the Border Collie brain comes into its own.
JACK RUSSELL TERRIERS
Jack Russell Terriers come in various sizes.
There is the Parson Russell Terrier as recognised by the
Kennel Club and there is the long-legged type Jack Russell that stands around
13” and the short-legged type Jack Russell that can have the “Queen Anne” front
legs.
All types come in short coat, broken coat or rough
coat. Colour is varied with Black and White, Tan and White and Tri-colour.
White should be the predominant colour, but many believe that a good terrier
can not be a bad colour!
