Presented as part of the
~~Toronto Fringe Festival
~~
Featuring:
Jess Abramovitch, Natasha O'Brien, and Kathleen White

Venue #5
Factory Studio Theatre -- 125 Bathurst Street (at Adelaide)

From Eye Weekly (July 13, 2006):
THE ATTIC, THE PEARLS AND THREE FINE GIRLS ****  ('Best of the Fringe')
The production is lively, with overlapping dialogue, deftly revealed embarrassing discoveries and absurd misunderstandings. Smart production design and apt pop-music cues help make this show a frothy pleasure. KL

From The Torontoist (July 15, 2006):
Rather than falling into a trap of banality, The Attic, the Pearls & Three Fine Girls retains a tinge of sincerity, keeping it afloat. Through the play's time-shifts between childhood and adulthood, the audience is given a gift: the ability to create the story of the in-between. Using the framework outlined in the script, the playwrights allow the audience to ponder what has happened to these three girls, as we see what will happen now that they are together again.
Jess Abramovitch, Natasha O'Brien and Kathleen White do a great job as rivaling sisters, who have only partly grown up, or have perhaps regressed after revisiting the attic they used to play in... Check it out.
Warning: If you have a sister, be prepared to relive those memories, for better or for worse.

AdaptAble
May 31, 2006
The Brunswick House; Toronto

Our challenge to the artist:

Cleverly titled AdaptAble, our vision of this professional coffeehouse was to allow talented artists the opportunity to show themselves off in a different light. To perform outside the “box”…whatever that “box” means to them. We wanted to give young professionals the opportunity to show people what they've got! To step outside their comfort zone perhaps, and try something new. Something no one would necessarily expect from them.

This was a one-night-only show, featuring a wonderful array of song, dance, comedy, and stage combat...with alcoholic beverages aplenty, along with other such debauchery…and helped to raise some funds for the show we're producing in the upcoming
Toronto Fringe Festival.

"Remember…our stage is your oyster. Let’s show the world how AdaptAble a performer you really are!"
