Gerry Adams once said "We've not gone away you know", neither has the Flute Band News.  We have been busy with other projects.  We now aim to update you weekly on what's new on the Flute Band scene.  As you will see I have added a lot more reviews and we have also been on tour.  

Keeping calling back as you never know what you might find!!

This site is dedicated to Glasgow's finest flute band, in my eyes that is, Sandyhills Flute Band.  It is just over a year since the Sandyhills last walked.  The band took time out to consider a new direction.  As you can see they have certainly found that direction.

Over the years the band has had it's fair share of critiscism, like most successful bands.  Some very unfair comments about them as well. The band has never retaliated nor shown disrespect to the critics.  They have never lowerd themselves to the same level as the critics.  They have done the honourable and just thing, they let their music do their talking.

Welcome back Sandyhills you have been missed.  Make space for Scotlands number one melody flute band.
