In February 1988, the SFA launched a national Hall of Fame, initially comprising the first 11 Scottish players to have made 50 international appearances. Each member receives a gold medal, invitation for life to all Scotland's home matches, and has his portrait hung at the SFA offices in Glasgow.
There are now 24 players in the Hall of Fame, the latest to qualify being Christian Dailly, who passed the milestone in the Euro 2004 play-off against the Netherlands.
