I
started stringing beads in 1985 to keep my hands from picking up and
lighting another cigarette. I made many, many bracelets and
necklaces. It worked for me, end of story, end of beading. Or so I thought.
Years later a bead store opened up down the street from where I
worked. I became entranced with the beads, stones, metal findings, and
myriad goodies. I made a few Christmas gifts that year...and so a
passion was kindled.
I
love what I do, it is my therapy, an expression of artistic
creativity...and so much more. When the muse visits, I do not care how
much time and effort it takes to design and execute a piece, I care not
a whit if I ever sell it, I only care that it become a beautiful and
perfect piece.
I
present my jewelry in the hope that someone will see something
beautiful and perfect for themselves, for a friend, or for a loved one.
