Welcome to my new Homepage on the Ocean Flood of Noah. The website discusses a new comet moon gravitational exchange for the global flood described in Genesis.

The purpose of this website is to discuss the means by which the ocean flood of Noah might have occured some 4000 - 5000 years ago, that is, to discuss a mechanism that would have resulted in the flooding of the continents by the oceans. Basically I ask the question - what would happen to the Earth's mantle and crust, if a cometary moon up to twice the size of Earth's moon were to approach the Earth and pass by fast at a distance of 20,000-30,000km ? How would the Earth respond, that is - the mantle and crust - and ultimately - the oceans above them ?

The flood mechanism described in this article is a mechanism of high energy. Whole oceans flow at speeds over the surface of the Earth from 0 m/s in slow zones up to 300 m/s in fast zones. It is more than capable of explaining the vast sedimentary record and the young World as recorded in Genesis.

Website Proposal :-

A comet moon passing close to the World sets in motion great sections of the Earth's mantle and crust - creating the convulsion of the oceans above - the event also known as the ocean flood of Noah.

This new idea based on the old Biblical truth of Genesis could essentially change how we perceive the history of the World. For example, the sedimentary rock formations are now seen as the result of a fast flow of the oceans over the surface of the Earth. It gives credence to a young World without the need for evolution from a single primitive life form. It is at least on an equal with Darwin's ideas.

In section (I.) below, I purposefully try and prove the occurence of a recent fast global ocean flood by the study of desert salt deposits - left behind by the retreating saline waters.

The website deals with the physical reasons on how the flood occured, ie on how the flood could be possible according to the astronomical laws of physics. Why the flood occured was because of the state that mankind had become. The World was made by the goodness of God for all creatures, and to be a paradise, instead of the place of wrongdoing it had become. If God hadn't taken action by the waters of the flood his whole creation would have been in vain.

The diagram below shows the basic theme behind Tectonic Wedge Resonance, discussed in the sections below. Each wedge moves up and down independently of the others.

Parts A - K and Appendices A and B below describe in detail the main ideas behind Tectonic Wedge Resonance. It is recommended that you read each section in the order that they occur, ie in alphabetical order - to fully understand the processes and mechanisms at work.

Part A: A Comet Moon passes the World >
This section describes the orbit of a cometary moon and how it could approach close to and
pass by the Earth.

Part B: How the mantle and crust respond to the gravitation of the passing comet moon >
Part B describes how the rigid mantle and crust respond to the gravitation of the passing
comet moon, in particular how the Earth physically changes shape from an elliptical spheroid
to an extended rugby ball shape at the point of closest approach.

Part C: Tectonic wedges go into oscillation >
What are the frequencies and amplitudes of each wedge motion ?

Part D: How do the oceans respond to wedge resonance ? >
This section essentially asks how motion is imparted to the oceans, which eventually flow
over the surface of the whole Earth.

Part E: Friction being essentially zero between wedges, how do the wedges eventually return
to a stable equilibrium ? >

Part E illustrates how the kinetic energy of the wedges is transferred to heat in the oceans
through turbulent flow and the lifting of sediments and ocean water. This section describes
how the flood would end.

Part F:-Sedimentary erosion and rock formation over the continents >
This section discusses the erosion of sediments and the building up of sediments over the
continents into the sedimentary rock formations.

Part G: The mid ocean ridges and lava exudation at the edge of wedges >
The means by which the mid ocean ridges are formed are dealt with in this part.

Part H: What are the candidates for the comet moon ? >
This part discusses possible moons of Jupiter and Saturn as being the cause of the flood.

Part I: A proof of ocean flooding ?! >
Using desert climate theory and the measurement of salt deposits, a test of a fast global ocean flood
is put forward.

Part J: Properties of the Earth's Interior >
This section discusses the nature and properties of the Earth's interior as a function of
radius and ultimately the response of the mantle and crust to the passing comet.

Part K: An Interpretation of the Fossil Record >
A new interpretation for the fossil record is put forward.

Appendix A: The equation of motion of a tectonic wedge >
This discusses the equation of motion and the period of motion of a tectonic wedge.

Appendix B: Calculating the tidal difference >
This section looks at calculating ( H - L ) for a comet moon at a certain radius and a
certain residence time.

Questions Section >
This raises some important considerations about different aspects of the flood.

This website has been primarily concerned with how an ocean flood would be possible in the physical realms of astronomy, physics and geology. A process has been described that would be capable of accounting for the high energy flooding and the destruction of an old World and building up of sediments to many km's depth over a period of months - into the new continents of the World. What was the reason for this flood occuring ?

The Bible states that the World was full of violence and that the thoughts of man's heart were continually evil. Noah was to save the goodness and the joy of the World by bringing in all the creatures of the Earth into a great Ark he had built. The Ark would float on the waters of a great flood, a flood that destroyed all the old continents. The Ark being full of all kinds of creature would survive the flood and replenish the Earth that had been destroyed and created again.

Some people might say. Why did God do this ? The answer is simple. If the World had been made as a paradise, it had now become a place full of wrongdoing and wickedness. It would only have been a matter of time before the whole Earth would have rebelled against their Creator, undoing all the work he had planned and created. If he hadn't separated Noah from the Old World his whole creation would have been in vain.

After the flood waters receded God made a new promise.

' While the Earth remains, seedtime and harvest, and cold and heat, and summer and
winter, and day and night shall not cease. ' Genesis 8:22.

Ice Ages Page >
The iceages follow on from the global flood and may have been caused by severe
fluctuations
in atmospheric CO2 - a greenhouse gas, such a fluctuation being caused by
forest competition and growth.

This website was created and improved over a period of two years. In July 2007 I gave a lecture at Cedarville, Ohio at the creation science conference and was asked by John Baumgardner whether the tidal difference could be accomplished by an elastic mantle oscillation as opposed to " fracture and slide presented in this website ". The result is a new revamped webpaper on " Fundamental Mode Mantle Resonance - Powering a Global Flood "
