About Flood

FLOOD is an Alternative Rock / Hard Rock high school band from northern New Jersey.  We started coming together in the spring of 2002, and the final lineup was completed in the winter of 2003.  Our music has a definite hard rock edge to it, with a bit of blues and metal mixed in. We've begun to move forward as a band, and in the spring of 2004 we recorded our self-titled demo disc, which is currently on sale. We also have some shows under our belt, including a great performance at the New Jersey State Fair.  We're ready to take on the world!!!  So take a look around and give us your input. You'll find Jordan and Steve roaming the halls of Vernon High School, Paul is part of the High Point student body, and Pat currently wanders around Brandeis University. If you talk to one of us, it's just about certain that we will play at whatever you want us to. We're really itchin' to play some shows, so if you could help us out that would be awesome! FLOOD UPDATE

Hi.

Problems.

Yeah, the last update looked something like this - [...On May 27th, come and see us perform at the Calliope Coffeehouse...  battle will be taking place on June 11th, at the Mcafee Firehouse, starting at 2 PM...]. Those problems I just mentioned; they pretain to those events. As some of you may or may not know, the coffehouse was postponed due to a bomb scare at the High Point High School. Unfortunately, it was postponed to a date Flood was unaware of. So yeah, we missed out on that.

Worse news: The "Battle For Endless Summer" that was supposed to take place on June 11th... Get this: It is not going to take place on June 11th. There was a fatal error in the booking of this show and well, it doesn't look like it will be happening as planned. keep checking out www.breedinginsanity.cjb.net to find out how that unfolds.

Also head over to www.dreammakersmp3.com. We're hanging onto the number 5 spot on that website. For those of you who haven't already supported us there, that site is a place where you can listen to and download music from artists on the rise such as ourselves. Whichever artist receives the most hits in a designated period of time will win some free recording time in an incredible studio. That means that each time you go there and listen to us, it helps out quite a bit. I hope ya check it out, and thanks in advance if you do. Currently there are two songs available on that site from us. If enough support is shown I'm thinking I'll throw one more on.
