Q: Why are there ads on your website/board?
A: Because we are commited to offering all of our services/features completely free we have no budget for paid hosting. We think that information and services we offer should be free.

Q: Do you promote the companies that are being advertised?
A: We neither promote nor know what ads will come up. We do know that they may or may not be of interest to our readers. However since they are based on the text on our pages they generally are associated with education.

Q: Do you have a 501 non-profit status?
A: No, we do not. It seems rather pointless to file a stack of papers and spend money to say that we are non-profit. We feel that it is far better to say "FREE, NO DUES" and leave it at that.

Q: Do you support/promote the co-ops or support groups that are listed on the board?
A: Again, our mission is to offer information. We do not know these groups or their personal practices. If you have a bad experience with a group, feel free to report it to a moderator/staff member. If we get verifiable complaints we will remove and block the listing.

Q: Can I list my co-op or support group on the board? What does it cost?
A: Absolutely! We do hope that you will also tell your members about us. We believe that information should be free so we do not charge a fee for members to list their groups.

Q: How can I advertise an upcoming event for homeschoolers? What does it cost?
A: Contact us with the information and we'll add it to the calendar. We believe that information should be free so we do not charge a fee to list events.

Q: How do I join the board?
A: First you will have to chose a user name and password to register. You will then receive an email asking for some basic information (name, children's ages, city) to verify you are not a spam bot. Once we get that we approve you.

Q: What if I don't want to tell you that information?
A: If you want to use a first name and nearby city that is fine by us. We understand that everyone has varying degrees of comfort with sharing personal information. We do have members that do not post but are active users of the board.

Q: Can you tell me what events/co-ops/evaluators etc. are in my area?
A: Just like you I am a devoted homeschool parent. I simply do not have the time or resources to research everything on a case-by-case basis. When I have a resource I add it to the board. If the resource you are looking for is not located on the board, simply suggest it and I will do my best to add it.

A: We NEVER give away, rent, share or otherwise give out your personal information period. We also will never try to sell you anything.
