April 2008 - Earth Day Celebration
Join FL Homeschoolers in a special celebration of our home planet!
We have decided to make an extra special celebration of Earth Day so that everyone can participate! We will be having a contest for all members of FL Homeschoolers. We will also be having Earth Day parties in select regions!
Earth Day Contest
This contest is open to all members* of the FL Homeschoolers board.
Challenge: Each child is asked to either design or decorate a reusable bag for groceries, books or whatnot.
Your child(ren) can:
Make one using recycled materials (old t-shirts/fabric)
Make one using new materials
Decorate a pre-made bag
Parents should submit a photograph via email no later than the 23rd of April 2008. Include the following:
Child's Name & Age
City
Your Name
Your board ID
Select photos will be published the FL Homeschoolers board & website.
Participating Children will receive a certificate via email (please allow two weeks from submitting).
We aren't giving out all the details yet - but stay tuned. . . I've heard rumors of prizes!!!
*Note - members must have logged into the board within the past thirty days in order to participate in the contest.
