Our Mission
FL Homeschoolers' mission is...
- To promote socialization and support to our fellow homeschoolers.
- To provide our shared wisdom and experience as homeschoolers and parents.
- To offer a safe non-judgmental environment to support growth.
- To be open to members regardless of faith, race, color, disability, economic status or anything else.
- To accept members because of their differences rather than in spite of them.
- Encourage acceptance and cooperation between homeschool groups.
FL Homeschoolers does NOT:
- Offer a co-op of classes.
- Charge dues or accept payments.
FL Homeschoolers DOES:
- Promote our mission and offer an unique enrichment resource.
- Promote the homeschooling community as a whole.
- Offer listings for local co-ops and support groups on our board.
- Offer support and guidance to homeschoolers and their families.
- Promote free events.
- Follow a grass-roots style movement to unify homeschoolers.

Our Founding
FL Homeschoolers was launched in January 2007. The main focus is to build a sense of community within areas, and statewide. By offering state-wide support and wisdom, but planning and promoting local events. Originally FL Homeschoolers was just a bulletin board system. Each day new members join and the community grows a little bigger.
FL Homeschoolers website was launched in August 2007 to help promote local events in the Tampa Bay area.
Future hopes include website events for the whole state, as well as continued growth.
