Rascal Flatts on Today show

Rascal Flatts will perform during the Today show's summer concert series on Friday (July 11) in New York City. They will sing their new single, "Bob That Head," as well as some of their hits. The group is currently in the middle of a tour with special guest Taylor Swift, with future dates scheduled at numerous amphitheatres. The group's schedule also includes upcoming performances at Cheyenne Frontier Days in Wyoming and the WE Fest in Minnesota.
 
 
 

Rascal Flatts' Joe Don Rooney and Wife Welcome Son

Rascal Flatts' Joe Don Rooney and wife Tiffany Fallon welcomed their first child, a son named Jagger Donovan Rooney, on Saturday (May 31) in Nashville, the band's publicist confirmed Tuesday (June 3). He weighed 6.45 pounds and is 20 inches long. "We are absolutely blown away by this little miracle gift that God has given to us," the couple said in a statement. "We can't wait to see what the future has in store for baby Jagger and our new family."

Rascal Flatts Performing With Boston Pops on July 4

Rascal Flatts will expand their sound when they join conductor Keith Lockhart and the Boston Pops Esplanade Orchestra on the Boston Pops Fireworks Spectacular, a TV special airing July 4 on CBS. Rascal Flatts will perform several of their hits with the orchestra during the live telecast from the Charles River Esplanade in Boston. The special will be hosted by Craig Ferguson, the Scottish-born late night talk show host who became a U.S. citizen earlier this year. ... In related news, Jerry Lee Lewis, Huey Lewis & the News and American Idol winner Taylor Hicks are among those performing on the PBS special, A Capitol Fourth. Actor Jimmy Smits will host the program live from the U.S. Capitol in Washington, D.C. The July 4 telecast will also feature Broadway star Brian Stokes Mitchell, classical vocalists Hayley Westenra and Harolyn Blackwell and the National Symphony Orchestra

Rascal Flatts Appearing in Hannah Montana Movie

Rascal Flatts will appear and perform in Hannah Montana: The Movie, a publicist for the band's record label announced Wednesday (June 4). The film, currently being shot in the Nashville area, is based on the popular Disney Channel series starring Miley Cyrus and Billy Ray Cyrus. Rascal Flatts record for Lyric Street Records, a Nashville-based label that is part of the Disney Music Group. Miley Cyrus and Billy Ray Cyrus also record for Disney. Additional details of Rascal Flatts' involvement in the film have not been revealed. The band is taking a break from touring but will return to the road for a June 13 show in St. Louis. They have shows booked through the end of September.

Rascal Flatts is taking over New Country for three days! Gary, Jay and Joe Don will be in control of the music and personally introduce their own songs as well as their SIRIUS New Country favorites from other artists. Rascal Flatts Nashville Show benefits hospital

Rascal Flatts has announced that their concert at Nashville’s Sommet Center, Oct. 17, featuring special guest Taylor Swift, will once again benefit the Monroe Carell Jr. Children's Hospital at Vanderbilt.

In the past three years, Rascal Flatts has donated more than $2 million to the hospital from their Nashville concerts. "We have been overwhelmed by Nashville's response to the Children's Hospital benefit shows in the past three years," says the group's Gary LeVox. "It matters to us to give back and we can't think of a better way to do that than to help right here in our own community. We have our fans and friends in Nashville to thank for being so generous." Tickets go on sale Saturday, Sept. 13, and are available at Ticketmaster outlets and ticketmaster.com. Rascal Flatts teams up with Raycom

Rascal Flatts is joining forces with Raycom Sports to kick off the telecasts of ACC and SEC football for the 2008 season.

The group’s current single, “Bob That Head,” will be the opening number for the weekly televised games. The song has specifically been rewritten and recorded for both the ACC and SEC. Rascal Flatts also personalized a greeting to air for each conference. The season kicks off Saturday, August 30, at 12:30 p.m. ET when Florida goes up against Hawaii.  “We can’t think of anything more fun and exciting than mixing two of our favorites things––music and football,” says the group’s Gary LeVox.

Rascal Flatts, the reigning CMA Vocal Group of the Year, will release its first-ever greatest-hits CD, Greatest Hits Volume 1, Oct. 28.

The album will include No. 1 singles like “Bless the Broken Road” and “My Wish,” along with their debut hit, “Prayin’ for Daylight.”

The initial limited edition release will be presented in a special foil-embossed 2 CD package. This limited edition version will include three newly recorded Christmas songs as bonus tracks––the classic “White Christmas,” “Jingle Bell Rock” and “I’ll Be Home for Christmas.” The three holiday tracks will be available as part of Rascal Flatts’ Greatest Hits Volume 1 for a limited time and are the only Christmas songs currently available from the band.
