" I promise we'll see eachother again " Gary said holding onto his girlfriend Megan

" Ok " Megan said as tears rolled down her cheeks

Gary and Megan shared one last hug before she had to go.

Megan and Gary were highschool sweethearts. They both had just graduated this year from their highschool in Ohio. They spent the past summer togther until now. Today was the day that Megan left for college. She was going to attend Luther college for music in Iowa and Gary was going to attend Ohio State.

" Drive safe ok babe " Gary said helping Megan into her car.

" Ok " Megan said giving Gary one last kiss.

Gary shut the door and watched as she drove off into the distance. It was going to be hard but they had to try to make it work.

The next week Gary started his classes. He was already starting to struggle with keeping his relationship with Megan alive. One day Gary just broke down he couldnt do it anymore.

" Megan I'm sorry this just isnt going to work " Gary told her when she called that night

" Ya ...... I knew that this was going to happen " Megan said

" I'm so sorry " Gary said

Megan didnt say anything she just hung up on Gary.

" Megan? " Gary said

Nothing.

" Megs? " Gary said again

Still nothing.

Gary just sighed and hung up the phone. He couldnt believe it, it was truely over.

The 4 years of college went by fast for Gary. He graduated and moved to Nashville to persue a music career with his cousin Jay. After 2 years of playing in bars he finally got his big break as the lead singer of Rascal Flatts. One day the guys were recording songs for their 2nd album. They were in the middle of the song These Days when Gary completely lost it.

" Im sorry I just can do this " Gary said as he walked out of the sound booth

Jay followed him out to see what happened.

" Gary what the hell happened in there? " Jay said

" Jay I cant do it, I cant sing that song " Gary said

" why not? " Jay asked

" It reminds me of Megan " Gary said as tears filled his eyes

" Gary its been almost 8 years, dont you think its time to move on? " Jay said

" Jay there isnt anyone who can replace Megan " Gary said with tears rolling down his face.

Jay was lost, he wanted to help his cousin so bad but he didnt know how.

Gary decided to take a long walk and clear his mind. He was walking through a large park that circled a lake when a young woman sitting on a bench caught his eye. She had long,dark brown curly hair and brown eyes. As Gary walked by he couldnt help but notice how lonley she looked. Gary decided to go over and talk to her.

" Hi...mind if I sit down? " Gary said

" No go ahead " The young woman said

" My names Gary " Gary said

" Mines Ashley....Ashley Jacobson" the yound woman said

" Ashley....I like that name " Gary said

" Really? After awile it gets kinda old " Ashley said

Gary just chuckled. Then he looked over to find a cd case that looked familiar.

" Is it ok if I look at this? " Gary said pointing to the cd cover

" Go right ahead " Ashley said

Gary picked it up to find that it was the first album the guys had made.

" So I take it you like Rascal Flatts" Gary said looking at Ashley

" Ya....theres a song on there that has gotten me through some tough times " Ashley said

" Really? Which song? " Gary asked

" Im movin on " Ashley said looking down

" Just hearing these guys sing calms me and the words to this song really stuck in my heart.....I wish that I could meet them someday then I can tell them one on one just how much I love their music " Ashley said

" Well I can tell the other two if you want " Gary said

Ashley looked at him confused. Gary chuckled then took off his hat.

" Oh my your Gary LeVox? " Ashley said

" Ya " Gary said

" So I just told Gary LeVox just how much I love this song " Ashley said as her face turned dark red

" Hey its ok.. I actually loved the comment " Gary said

Ashley smiled.

" So...do you want to go back and talk to the other two?" Gary said

" Sure " Ashley said

Gary helped Ashley carry her things as they walked back to the studio. Gary was really starting to get interested in this girl. He couldnt help but think that it was truely time for him to move on and he knew just who he wanted to move on with.

Gary stopped when they got to the studio door.

" Ok I just wanna warn you that it might be a little crazy in there " Gary said

" Oh Ok " Ashley said unsure of what he meant.

Gary took Ashleys hand and led her inside. As Ashley walked inside she realized what Gary was talking about. There were people running around like a fire had just broke out. Gary pulled Ashley out of the way as someone ran past them.

" See what I mean " Gary said

" Ya...why are they in such a rush? " Ashley said

" Well they tend to think that the faster you work the faster they can go home but I think its kida rediculous that they run around like this " Gary said

" Ok " Ashley said

When there wasnt anyone running past them Gary took Ashley to a back room. The room had a couch, tv, and a table full of food.

" Ok this is where we realax when we have our break " Gary said

" Kool " Ashley said

" Here sit down " Gary said walking Ashley over to the couch

Ashley sat down and Gary sat next to her.

" Can I get you anything? " Gary asked

" Um some water would be nice " Ashley said

Gary got up and walked over to a small fidge, then he came back and sat next to Ashley.

" Here " Gary said handing Ashley the bottle of water

" Thank you " Ashley said

" So tell me a little bit about yourself " Gary said

" Ok well you already know my names Ashley, Im from Texas, I moved here after I went to college, I own a music store, and well um I like the outdoors. " Ashley said

" Kool so what kind of outdoor activities do you like? " Gary asked

" Well hunting, fishing, camping, horse back riding, boating, basically anything thats outside " Ashley said

" Awsome, I love the outdoors too, espically bow hunting " Gary said

" Really? I bow hunt to " Ashley said

Gary and Ashley began to talk more about their interests and what they like. They both soon found that they had so much in commen.

Jay and Joe Don were about to enter the room when they heard voices coming from inside.

" Is that a womans voice I hear? " Jay asked

" Ya and thats Garys.....I wonder whats going on " Joe Don said

" Well we're about to find out " Jay said

Jay opened the door to find Gary sitting on the couch with Ashley.

" Oh hey Jay, hey Joe Don " Gary said

" Hey who's this? " Jay said looking at Ashley

" Oh this is Ashley, Ashley this is Jay and the one behind him is Joe Don " Gary said introducing them to eachother.

" Hi, its nice to meet you " Ashley said

Jay was silent for a minute.

" Gary can I speak to you in private? " Jay said

" Um ya sure, Ill be right back ok Ash " Gary said

" ok " Ashley said

Gary walked out of the room, and Joe Don went and sat next to Ashley. Joe Don could tell that she looked sad.

" Hey are you ok " Joe Don asked

" Did I do something wrong ?" Ashley said

" no, Jay is just overprotective of his cousin " Joe Don said

" But me and Gary just met...we arent anything, heck I dont even know if he considers me his friend " Ashley said looking at Joe Don

" Hey its ok " Joe Don said

" I need to go, can you tell Gary it was nice meeting him and that I left " Ashley said

" Ya " Joe Don said

Ashley left and As she walked out the door Joe Don knew that Gary was going to be upset that she left.

Meanwhile....

" Gary what the hell are you doing!! " Jay asked after they reached a private room

" I was talking to someone...is there something wrong with that? " Gary said

" Ya the fact that you were getting comfy on the couch with whats her face " Jay said

" Here name is Ashley and I dont understand why your getting upset I did nothing wrong " Gary said

" Gary you brought a girl back after not even 5 minutes of meeting her normally you would wait after you get to know her before you bring her here " Jay said

" Well this time its different " Gary said

" Why, why is it differnt " Jay said

" I already have a crush on her " Gary said

Jays eyes got wide, Gary just met a girl 10 minutes ago and already has a crush on her, this cant be good.

" What? " Jay said

" I said I already have a crush on her " Gary said

" You just met her and you already have a crush her!! " Jay said getting angry

" Jay why are you getting upset you said you wanted me to move on " Gary said getting upset

" ya but I didnt mean in less than 10 minutes!! " Jay yelled

" Jay its not that big of a deal!! " Gary said yelling back

" Well it is if your getting comfy with some slut!! " Jay said

" Shes not a slut!! " Gary said

" Well than what do you someone who wants some 10 minutes after they meet someone!! " Jay said

" Who said anything about wanting some!! we are just friends!! " Gary said

" What? " Jay said calming down

" She doesnt know I like her, we are just friends " Gary said calmly

" Then why bring her today? " Jay said

" She is inspired by one of our songs, she wanted to tell you guys one on one just how she feel about our music " Gary said

" Wow, Im so sorry about all of this " Jay said

" Hey its ok man " Gary said

" Ok...well why dont we go talk to..Um" Jay said

" Ashley her names Ashley " Gary said

" Ok lets go talk to Ashley " Jay said

Jay and Gary got back to the room. When they walked inside they found Joe Don sitting by himself.

" Hey wheres Ashley?" Gary asked

" Well she kinda left " Joe Don said

" What!! she left!! " Gary said

" Ya.. she said she had to go " Joe Don said

Gary raced out of the room, down the hall , and out the door. He looked both ways but didnt see her. His heart broke he finally found the person he was looking for and now shes gone.

Gary was about to walk back into the studio when he rememberd Ashley telling him about a ranch she likes to go and hang out at. Gary raced out to his truck and headed out to the ranch.

Garys heart raced as he pulled into the driveway of the ranch. He parked at the end of a driveway. He got ourt of the truck and looked around. He was turning the corner of the stable when he heard her voice. Gary perked up and follwed her to a fence. When he looked over the fence Gary could see Ashley riding a beautiful brown horse. Gary sat on the fence and watched as she rode the horse around the fenced area.

" Good boy " Ashley said as she got off the horse

Ashley turned around and to see Gary standing there.

" Gary! " Ashley said shocked

" So this is where you ran off to " Gary said

" Oh ya sorry bout that " Ashley said

" Why did you leave?" Gary asked

" Well I felt like I was causing some problems so I left " Ashley said getting quite

" Promblems? You didnt do anything, Jay is just over protective of me " Gary said leaning more onto the fence.

" Oh...Im sorry I shouldnt have run off like that " Ashley said

" Hey its ok, i wouldve done the same thing " Gary said

" Really?" Ashley said

" Ya so dont worry about it " Gary said

Ashley looked at Gary and smiled a little.

" Hey come on I wanna show you something " Gary said

" Ok, Um I need to lock him back up " Ashley said nodding her head twords Her horse

" Ok let me help " Gary said jumping the fence

Gary walked up to Ashley and helped her put the horse back in the stable.

" Whats his name? " Gary asked as he helped Ashley brush his maine

" Blaze " Ashley said

" Awsome, so how long have you had him?" Gary asked looking at Ashley

" It will be 4 years tomarrow " Ashley said

" Kool, ya know I use to work at a stable, kinda like this one " Gary said

" Wow really? I didnt know that " Ashley said

" And you consider youself a fan " Gary said teasing Ashley

" hahaha funny " Ashley said

Gary laughed.

" I need to grab something can you put him in his stable? " Ashley said

" Ya, which one is it? " Gary asked

" The last one on the right " Ashley said walking out of the stable

Gary brought Blaze back to his stable and locked him up. Just as he turned around a cold rush of water hit his face.

" HEY HEY HEY!! " Gary said

The rush of water stopped and Gary looked up to find Ashley standing there with a hose laughing.

" hahaha funny " Gary said mocking Ashley

" Dont mock me! " Ashley said sprayig Gary some more

" Hey!! " Gary said as the cold water hit him again

Gary was now soaked this is where the payback began.

" Its on now " Gary said walking twords Ashley

Ashley dropped the hose and ran. Gary picked up the hose and started to run after Ashley. Ashley hid behind his truck, she thought she was safe but was proved wrong when Gary snuck up behind her and sprayed the top of her head.

Ashley started to run again laughing as she went around the stable.

" Hey I just got Started " Gary called as he ran after her.

Gary caught up to Ashley and grabbed around the waist as he fell. Ashley fell ontop of Gary. Both of them were laughing hard as they laid down in th mud. Gary soon got stopped laughing as he got lost in Ashleys eyes. Ashley stopped laughing when looked down at Gary to see him looking at her. They both started to lean in close to eachonther when someone started to call Ashleys name.

" coming " Ashley called back

Ashley got off of Gary and started to head back to the stable.

" Hey you coming? " Ashley said

" Ya " Gary said

As Gary walked back to the house he thought of what almost happened. He wanted to kiss her so much but he didnt want to make her feel uncomfortable, what he didnt know was that Ashley wanted the same.

Back at the stable Gary saw a young man standing there.

" Hey who's this?" they young man asked pointing to Gary

" Oh mike this is Gary, Gary this is my older brother mike " Ashley said introducing them.

" Hey " Mike said holding out his hand

" hey " Gary said shaking mikes hand.

" Ok Im going to go get cleaned up " Ashley said walking twords the house

" hey can I take a shower? " Gary asked

" Sure " Ashley said

Gary ran back to his truck, grabbed some extra clothes and followed Ashley inside.

" Ok the extra shower is down the hall, thers shampoo already in there and there are some towles in the closet next to the shower " Ashley said

" Thanks " Gary said walking into the bathroom.

Gary hopped in the shower and was out in no more than 15 minutes. Ashley was still in the shower when Gary walked out of the bathroom.
He walked down the hallway and into the living room to find Mike watching a OSU game.

" Mind if i join you? " Gary asked

" Go ahead " Mike said

They both sat there and concentrated on the game. When Ohio scored they both let out a loud cheer.

" So I take it your a Ohio fan " Mike said looking over at Gary

" Ya I played for them in college and still am a big fan " Gary said

" Wait whats you last name ?" Mike asked

" Well back then it was Vernon but now its LeVox " Gary said

" You are Gary Vernon " Mike Said suprised

" ya why ?" Gary asked

" dude you were a awsome player " Mike said

" Oh thanks " Gary said

" How bout we go and throw a football out back " Mike said

" sure " Gary said

Gary and Mike were still throwing the football around when Ashley got out of the shower. She looked out the window and watched them. She was so happy that her brother was getting along with Gary. Ashley got dressed and walked outside to join Gary and Mike.

" Hey looks like you two are having fun " Ashley said

" Ya " Mike said

" you guys hungry? " Ashley said

Both Mike and Gary nodded their heads and raced into the house. Ashley followed them inside and began to make them sandwhiches. After Mike and Gary ate they both went back to their game of catch while Ashley cleaned up. Afte she was done cleaning she went outside and watched them play. Suddenly Garys phone started to ring.

" Hold on.....hello ?" Gary said

" Hey when are you coming back we kinda need to finish this " Jay said

" Oh I forgot about that Ill be back in a little bit ok " Gary said

" Ok " Jay said

Gary hung up with Jay and looked at Mike.

" Sorry I gotta go, it was nice meeting you " Gary said giving mike a highfive

" Ok see ya man " Mike said

Ashley walked with Gary to his truck.

" I guess Ill see you later " Ashley said

" Wait, I have a question for you " Gary said

" What is it ?" Ashley said

" Will you go out to dinner with me tomarrow night " Gary asked

" You mean like a date? " Ashley said

" ya " Gary said

" I would love to " Ashley said smiling

" Ok Ill pick you up around 7 ok " Gary said

" Ok " Ashley said

Gary leaned in and kissed Ashley on the cheek. Then he got in his truck and drove off. After Gary left Ashley let out a sigh of happyness, she couldnt wait to go on her date with Gary.

The next night Gary was pacing his living room floor. He was really nervous for his date with Ashley.

" Gary sit down before you wear a groove into the floor " Jay said

" I can Im too nervous " Gary said

Jay got up, grabbed Garys shoulders, and pushed him on to the couch

" Now relax, you have a hour before you have to go " Jay said

" But.." Gary said

" No buts now take a deep breath and relax everything will be fine " Jay said

Gary did as Jay said and started to relax. The time was going by fast and soon it was time for Gary to go pick up Ashley. Before Gary went to Ashleys he stopped at a flower shop and got Ashley some flowers. Soon he pulled into Ashleys driveway. Gary took a deep breath before knocking on her door.

" Hi Gary " Ashley said openeing the door.

Gary breath was taken away as he looked at her. She was wearing a white sundress, white sandles, her hair was left down and was curlyer than ever, her makeup was light. Gary thought she looked like a angel that fell from heaven.

" Hi, these are for you " Gary said handing Ashley some wildflowers

" Thanks, I love wildflowers " Ashley said

They both stood there in silence.

" I better put these in some water, please come in and sit down " Ashley siad

" Ok " Gary said


Standing in the kitchen filling a vase full of water Ashley couldnt help but think of how handsome Gary looked. He had on black cowboy boots, light blue jeans, and a white, long sleeve shirt that was unbuttoned a little in the front. Ashley was so lost in thought she didnt realize the vase was overflowing with water until it started to roll down her arm.

" Oh shoot " Ashley said as she started to clean up the puddles of water

" you ok? " Gary called to Ashley from the living room

" Ya Im fine " Ashley said putting the flowers in the vase

Ashley set the flowers down on the table and walked into the living room.

" Ready to go " Gary asked

" Ya " Ashley said

Gary took Ashleys hand and walked her out to his car. He opened the passenger door as she got in. Gary got in the drivers side and drove off down the street.

" So where are we going?" Ashley asked

" Its a suprise " Gary said

" You know I love suprises " Ashley said

" I thought you would " Gary said

Ashley let out a soft giggle then quickly blushed afterwards. Gary thought her giggle was angelic when he looked over he saw she was blushing.

" Hey why are you blushing? " Gary said

" Well a lot of people make fun of my laugh or my giggle " Ashley said

" Well I thought it was a beautiful giggle which fits with a beautiful woman " Gary said

" You think Im beautiful/ " Ashley said looking over at Gary

" Ya I do " Gary said looking back at Ashley

Ashleys eyes started to water and Gary noticed right away.

" Ash, Ash whats wrong?" Gary said getting worried that he didnt something bad

" Its just know one has told me im beautiful before " Ashley said

" Are you serious? " Gary said

Ashley just nodded her head as tears rolled down her cheeks. Gary was going to wait until they got to the resturant to go to her. They finally pulled into the parking lot. Gary quickly got out of the car and went over to the passenger side. He opened the door and knelt down next to the seat.

" You ok " Gary said

Ashley nodded her head and hugged Gary.

" Thank you " Ashley said

" Hey theres no need to thank me " Gary said

Ashley pulled away and smilied.

" Now theres the smile I love to see, come on lets go inside " Gary said

Ashley stood up and grabbed Garys hand as they walked into the resturant. Gary and Ashley spent dinner talking and laughing. Then after dinner Gary took Ashley on a walk through a park. Ashley stopped at a fountain and sat down.

" Did you have a good time? " Gary asked sitting next to Ashley

" Ya I did " Ashley said looking down

" Hey whats wrong " Gary asked

" Nothing " Ashley said standing up

" Ash its something, please tell me " Gary said getting up and standing behind her.

" I just cant get ovet the fact that you think of me the way you do, to tell you the truth I feel the same way about you, I m just scared that you'll turn me down or hurt me... I dont know why I feel like this I just do " Ashley said

Gary turned Ashley around so she was facing him, then he took his hand and placed it under her chin gently lifting her head so there eyes were leval.

" Ash I would never ever purposely hurt you, I care about you way to much to even consider hurting you " Gary said

Gary then started to caress Ashleys cheeks with his thumb. Before Ashley knew it Gary leaned in and gently kissed Ashley. Gary pulled apart and looked into Ashleys deep brown eyes, then he leaned in and placed another kiss on Ashleys lips and this time she retuned it.

Kissing under the stars Gary and Ashley knew that this was the start of a un breakable love, but this love will soon be tested in a big way.

The next day Ashley was pracing around the house happier than ever and it showed.

" Wow someone looks happy " Mike said walking into the kitchen

" Well I am " Ashley said setting his lunch down in front of him

Mike just laughed and started to eat his luch. Suddenly Ashleys phone began to ring.

" Hello " Ashley said

" Hey babe " Gary said

" Hey honey " Ashley said

" Are you busy? " Gary asked

" No why? " Ashley asked

" Well I wanted to know if you would like to spend the afternoon with me " Gary said

" sure I would love to " Ashley said

" Ok Ill see you in a little bit " Gary said

" Ok bye " Ashley said hanging up

After Ashley hung up with Gary she went and got ready for her afternoon with Gary. About 30 min later Gary was knocking on Ashleys door.

" Hey " Gary said pulling Ashley in for a kiss

" Hey " Ashley said when they pulled apart

" you ready? " Gary asked

" ya " Ashley said

Ashley walked out to Garys truck and got in. Gary took Ashley back to his place where he had the pool at set and ready to go.

" So what are we doing?" Ashley asked walking into Garys house

" Swimming " Gary said taking off his shirt and walking out to the pool

" Kool " Ashley said following him

Gary jumped in the pool splashing Ashley.

" Hey come in the waters great " Gary said splashing Ashley

" Fine" Ashley said taking off her clothes and jumping in

" Wow you look hot in that suite " Gary said wrapping his arms around Ashley

" Thanks you look pretty hot too " Ashley said

" Oh really " Gary said kissing Ashley

Things between Gary and Ashley got heated. Before they knew it they were under the water making out. But they more they made out the more they got closer to the sharp edge of the steps. Gary pulled Ashley under the water and kissed her deeply but Ashley ended up hitting her head on the edge of the steps. Her head started to bleed badly and soon she blacked out.

" Ash?" Gary said

Ashley didnt answer then Gary noticed the blood rolling down her face.

" no no no Ash!! " Gary said picking her up and laying her on the side of the pool.

Ashley wasnt responding and Gary was scared to death he didnt know what to do.

" Oh god what am I going to do ?" Gary asked himself

After sitting there for a few minutes he decided to get her cleaned and Warmed up. Gary picked Ashley up and carried her into the house where he laid her on the couch. Then he went and got his first aid kit and wrapped her head. Gary then went and got some blankets to warm Ashley up. After doing all of this Gary knelt by the couch hoping that Ashley would wake up. Soon Gary was starting to get frustrated.

" Ash baby please wake up " Gary said worriedly

Then Ashleys hand twitched.

" Ash? sweetheart can you hear me? " Gary asked

Ashley then lifted her arm and put it on her head. Then she opened her eyes and looked at Gary.

" Gary? " Ashley said softly

" Oh thank god!! " Gary said standing up and lifting Ashley into his arms

" Gary what happened? " Ashley asked

Gary sat down and pulled Ashley onto his lap.

" Well we were um kissing in the pool and when we went under the water you must of hit you head on the sharp side of the steps " Gary said

"Oh....is the cut bad? " Ashley asked turning her head to look into Garys eyes

" Kinda .... but ive seen worse " Gary said putting his forehead to hers

" So what are we going to do now? " Ashley asked

" Well we can go on a walk " Gary said

" OK " Ashley said

Gary helped Ashley off of the couch and took her to the back yard where the took a walk through some woods that was lined up along the back of the property. Gary then stopped at a drop type area.

" Gary what are we doing? " Ashley asked looking up at him

" Look " Gary said

Ashley slowly walked over to edge and looked over it. Ashley was mesmorized by what she saw. Over the edge was a beautiful lake that was so clear with a small water fall. Surrounding the lake were a bunch of colorful flowers and plants that made the whole picture complete.

" Its so beautiful " Ashley said still looking down upon it.

" Ya but I know something thats more beautiful " Gary said wrapping his arms around her waist

" Whats that? " Ashley said turning around

" You " Gary said

Gary then kissed Ashley passionately. This was the start of Gary and Ashleys fairytail love, but will that soon be broken?

Gary and Ashley were standing in the middle of the woods holding eachother.

" We should probobly head back " Gary said Rubbing his head against hers

" Ok " Ashley said

Gary slowly pulled out of her grip and lead her out of the woods. Gary and Ashley walked into the house hand in hand. They both were already falling fast for eachother and it was obveous. They both sat on the couch and cuddled.

" What are we going to do now? " Ashley asked laying her head on Garys shoulder

" We can just sit here and cuddle " Gary said kissing her head

" Hmmm sounds good " Ashley said sinking lower into the couch

Gary sunk down next to her and held her close. Then he started to play with her hair.

" This is so relaxing " Ashley said

" ya it is " Gary said

Gary leaned down and started to kiss her neck. Ashley moved her head so their lips would meet and kissed him lovingly. They continued to make out on the couch when Garys phone started to ring.

Gary moaned he really didnt feel like answering it.

" Just ignore it " Gary said kissing Ashley

The phone kept ringing and it was starting to get on both Garys and Ashleys nerves. Finally the answering machine picked it up.

" Hi you have reached Gary Im not here right now please leave a message and Ill get back to you "

Then the loud beep filled the room and Jays voice came over the answering machine.

" hey G its J Im suprised your not home I just wanted to see if you were going to come down to the studio tonight or not so um call me back bye " jay said

" You going to go " Ashley asked as she pulled away from Gary

" Maybe " Gary said nuzzleing her neck

" you should go " Ashley said

" do I have to " Gary whined

" Yes " Ashley said laughing

Gary moaned and stood up.

" Are you going with me? " Gary asked

" If you want me to " Ashley said

" Ok Im going to call Jay back and see what time he wants us there " Gary said

" Ok " Ashley said

Gary called Jay back and got the time.

" So he wants us there in a hour " Gary said walking over and sitting next to Ashley

" Ok wanna go eat then head over there? " Ashley asked

" Ya " Gary said

Gary and Ashley went over to a small cafe and had dinner. Then they went and met Jay and Joe Don at the studio.

Walking into the studio Jay and Joe Don could tell that Gary and Ashley were in love. Jay was happy that his cousin finally found that speical someone but ther was someone out there who wanted Gary miserable.
 

After the guys finished up at the studio Gary was going to take Ashley home. Driving to her house Gary got a idea.

" Hey um do you wanna stay the night at my place? " Gary asked

" sure " Ashley said taking Garys hand in hers

Gary smiled he didnt know what it was about Ashley that made him so happy. Hes never felt like this before.

Soon they pulled into Ashleys driveway. Ashley went and the house and grabbed her stuff then they were off to Garys house. Right as they walked intot the house Gary grabbed Ashleys hand pulling her to the couch causing Ashley to drop her bag.

" Do you want to start where we left off? " Gary said

Ashley nodded her head and Gary started to kiss her some more. There make out session was cut short when Garys cell started to ring. Gary reached over and grabbed his phone off the table.

" Hello? " Gary said

" Hi Gary " A voice on the other line said

" Who is this? " Gary asked

" Its Megan dont you remember me? " Megan said

Garys face drained off all its color.

" Hi " Gary said

" Gary I wanna see you...do you think we can start over and maybe share our love for eachother again " Megan said jumping straight to the point.

" No...we cant " Gary said looking over at Ashley who was looking at Gary with a scared face.

" Why? Its not like youve found someone else " Megan said

" Megan thats the thing I have found someone else " Gary

" What? " Megan said shocked

" Megan I havent heard or seen you for almost 8 years, Ive moved on and found someone new so please do me a favor and leave me alone " Gary said

Megan didnt say anything she hung up on Gary like she did 8 years ago. Only this time she wasnt going to leave him alone. Gary was going to be hers weather he liked it or not.

Gary hung up his phone and turned to Ashley.

" Who is Megan? " Ashley asked scared his answer

" She is my ex girlfriend, we broke up 8 years ago and now she wants me back..but I told her that Ive found some else and to tell you the truth I care more about you than Ive ever cared about her " Gary said

Ashley didnt say anything, she crawled up onto Garys lap and layed her head on his shoulder.

" Gary? " Ashley said

" Ya " Gary said

" I love you " Ashley said

Gary was silent for a moment.

" I love you too " Gary said

Gary and Ashley shared a long loving kiss. Gary knew that Megan would do anything to get him back, he prayed that she would for once just leave him alone but the chances of that happening were slim.

Gary and Ashley ended up falling asleep on the couch. Ashley woke up the next morning to the sound of someone snoring in her ear. She turned her head and came face to face with Gary. She couldnt help notice how cute he looked while he slept. She never thought that she would find a man like Gary to be with her. She was truely, deeply, in love with Gary. Ashleys thoughts were pushed away when Gary shifted. She turned her head to find a pair of deep blue eyes looking at her.

" Good morning cowboy " Ashley said

" Good morning beautiful " Gary said

" how did you sleep? " Ashley asked running her fingers through his hair

" Good how bout you? " Gary asked snuggleing up to Ashleys neck

" Good " Ashley said

They both sat there in silence both enjoying eachothers company.

" You hungry? I can make you something " Ashley said

" Ya " Gary said

They both got off of the couch and walked into the kitchen. Ashley went straight to the fridge and took out milk, peppers, eggs, cheese, bacon, and onion.

" wow whats all that for? " Gary asked

" You'll see " Ashley said walking over to the stove.

Soon the kitchen filled up with a smell that would make someone wanna eat no matter how full they were. Gary was starving the smell of the food made his hunger grow and grow.

Finally Ashley was done cooking. She carried two plates back to the table and set them down. When she one down in front of Gary he gave her a look.

" What? " Ashley asked sitting down

" Nothing I just didnt know that a omlet smelled so good " Gary said

" Just wait until you taste it " Ashley said taking a bite of hers

Gary didnt know what she meant by that but he would soon find out. Gary took a bite of his omlet. Right when it hit his tongue he was brought into heaven he had eaten anything like it before.

" Wow this is good ' Gary said digging more and more into his omlet

" Im glad you like it " Ashley said laughing at how silly he looked right now

" You are so making this for me every morining " Gary said

" Oh really " Ashley said

' ya " Gary said

" How is that going to work? " Ashley asked jokingly

" Well I was going to wait until later to do this....but now is a good time " Gary said looking at Ashley.

" do what? " Ashley asked returning his stare

" Ash will you move in with me? " Gary asked

Ashley was shocked. She wasnt expecting Gary to ask her that. He was a great guy and all but would he really want her to move in with her? What will be the cause of this?

" Gary I dont know " Ashley said

" come on baby please? I love you I..I dont know If i can stand being away from you " Gary said taking her hand

" Gary I love you too, and I really want to move in with you but are you sure this is going to work with your job and everything? " Ashley said looking into his blue eyes

" I promise we can make it work " Gary said

Ashley sat in silence for a moment, she looked into Garys eyes and saw that there was something else to this.

" Gary Ill move in on one condition " Ashley said

" Ok ' Gary said

" I want you to tell me the other reason why you want me to move in with you " Ashley said

Garys face went pale.

" Gary? " Ashley said

Gary looked at Ashley, she could see a huge amount of fear overcome his face.

" Gary are you ok? " Ashley asked

" y..ya Im f..fine " Gary said getting up from the table

" No your not fine....please tell me whats wrong " Ashley said following him into the living room

" It..its nothing " Gary said

Ashley sat down next to him and turned his head so he was looking into her eyes.

" If its nothing then why do I see fear in your eyes " Ashley said

Gary sighed.

" I..Im scared something will happen to you " Gary said

" why would you be scared of that? " Ashley said

Gary turned twords Ashley she could see the tears starting to build up in his eyes.

" She might hurt you or worse even kill you....I.I wouldnt be able to live with the fact that someone from my past hurt you " Gary said as tears rolled down his cheeks.

Gary didnt know why he was crying, maybe it was the fact that he finally found someone and she could be taken away from him, or that he found comfort in her arms, in her touch, truely whatever it was made him break down completely.

" Shhhh sweetheart its ok " Ashley said taking Gary into her arms.

Gary cried, it was like he was letting out a lot of stress that was built up inside of him for so long.

" If it makes you feel any better Ill move in with you ok babe " Ashley said kissing the top of his head.

Gary nodded his head, he was happy she said yes he just hoped he would be able to keep her safe because knowing Megan she would put both of them in danger in a way both of them were not expecting.

The next day Gary took Ashley back to her house where she began to pack her things. After 2 days of packing and moving Ashley was moved into Garys house.

" Ok so you can stay in here or you can stay in my room with me " Gary said

" I think I'll stay with you " Ashley said

Gary laughed

" I thought you would say that ' Gary said taking Ashleys hand and leading her down the hallway to his bedroom.

Once in the bedroom Gary and Ashley started to unload some final boxes of her clothes and other things she might want.

" DONT OPEN THAT!! " Ashley said as Gary started to open a big suitcase.

" Why? " Gary asked suspicoulsy

" Just dont " Ashley said

Gary gave her a look then open the suitcase to have a bunch of whip cream, and shaving cream spray all over him.

" thats why " Ashley said

Gary sat there for a moment.

" did you do this? " Gary asked turning twords Ashley

" No my brother did....but you shouldve seen you face " Ashley said laughing

" Oh so you think its funny " Gary said moving twords Ashley

" Gary no " Ashley said laughing as she tried to crawl away but he was too quick

Gary grabbed Ashleys leg and pulled her twords him. He picked her up and gave her a great big hug and rubbed his face against her neck and back.

" Stop that tickles!! " Ashley said laughing hard

" Oh so your tickleish!! " Gary said with a evil grin on his face

" Dont even think about it!! " Ashley said as calmly as she could

Gary just grinned even wider. Then he reached down and started to tickler her.

" Gary stop!!! " Ashley said laughing

" No " Gary said laughing at her

Ashley reached up and started to tickle Gary. They both spent the next couple of minutes in a extreme tickle war. The war was inturupted when Jay walked in on it.

" wow looks like you guys got a lot done " Jay said sarcasticlly

Gary looked at Jay. Jay couldnt help but laugh. Gary still had whip cream and shaving cream all over his face and shirt.

" Dude what happened to you " Jay said laughing

" haha funnny " Gary said standing up

" Im going to get cleaned up " Gary said walking out of the room

After Gary left Jay started to talk to Ashley.

" So how are things with you and Gary " Jay asked

" there good why? " Ashley asked scared that she did something wrong.

" Well I havent seen him this happy before...you have changed him " Jay said happily

" Really? what was he like before? " Ashley asked

" Well he was always quiet and depressed " Jay said trying not to think about what megan did to him.

" Did someone make him like that? " Ashley asked

Jay was silent.

" If I tell you, you have to promise you wont tell Gary " Jay said

" I promise " Ashley said

" It was megan, she was a controlling young woman, she chose everything for Gary " Jay said

" Why would he stay with her if she treated him like that " Ashley asked

" He couldnt see the true megan..he was so much in love with her that he only saw her as perfect not controlling " Jay said

" It must have really hurt him when she left " Ashley said

" Ya it did but now thats all changed he has you and to tell you the truth you have made my cousin a new, happy man " Jay said

As Ashley and Jay where talking Gary was standing outside the door. He couldnt help but think of the true reason why he stayed with megan. He also couldnt believe that Jay told Ashley. Gary was so scared of how Ashley would react.

" Hey " Gary said walking intot the room

" hey " Jay said

" Um Jay can you go for a minute, I need to talk to Ash in private " Gary said

" Ya sure I have to get going anyway " Jay said

Jay got up and left. After Jay was sure he was gone he started to talk.

" So he told you " Gary said looking out the window.

" ya he did " Ashley said turning her head to look at him

Gary was silent.

" Im sorry " Gary said

" Sorry? Gary what are you sorry for? " Ashley asked

" For not telling you For this whole thing with her " Gary said

" Gary its ok Megan was controlling you just couldnt see that you have no reason to be sorry " Ashley said

" Ash I knew she was controlling I saw it every single day we were together " Gary said turning around

" Then why did you put up with it? " Ashley asked

" I didnt want to be alone " Gary said

" Gary you werent alone you had your parents and friends there " Ashley said

Gary sat down next to Ashley and looked into her eyes.

" No I didnt.....Megan was the only one who understood " Gary said

" Who understood what? " Ashley asked taking his hand

" what really went on inside my house " Gary said trembling, just thinking about it scared him to death

" Gary? What happened? " Ashley asked

" I...I was beaten every night by a man that was supposed to be my dad but instead was my worst fear " Gary said as tears rolled down his cheeks.

Ashley was silent. She wiped the tears from his eyes and started to comfort him.

" Hey its ok shh its ok " Ashley said taking Gary into her arms.

" promise me you wont tell anyone....not even Jay " Gary said after he calmed down.

" ok I promise " Ashley said

Gary pulled Ashley into his arms and laid back on the bed. They both fell into a deep sleep. Sometime while they slept someone broke into the house. Lerking around the stanger was looking for something. They walked upstairs and found what they were looking for in Garys bedroom. Taking the baseball bat from the closet they walked over to the bed and knocked both Gary and Ashley unconcious. Dragging there lifeless bodies downstairs one at a time they tied Gary and Ashley up and drug them to a black mini van. Driving off the stranger couldnt help but get excited and yet scared to what will happen to Gary and Ashley.

Gary woke up with a pounding head and a aching neck. He looked around to see he wasnt at home anymore. He tried to speak but he had something around his mouth. When he tried to move his arms he couldnt. Confused he looked down to see that his arms where tied to his side and his legs were tied together. This was the point where he panicked. wiggileing back and fourth he tried to break loose but he had no luck. Suddenly thoughts of Ashley entered his mind.

" OMG ASH!! " Gary thought to himself

He looked from side to side but Ashley was nowhere in sight. Then he heard someone moan Gary turned his head as far around as he could and cought a glimps of her. She had a black eye and blood running down her face.

" MMM " Gary said trying to get her to wake up.

It didnt work Gary wiggled some more and soon gave up. Sitting there helplessly Gary was approached by somone he thought he would never see again. ...Suspenceful I know................

" Hey Gary did you miss me? " The person said

Gary just sat there.

" Lets untie you mouth now " The person said

They untied his mouth and right away Gary started talking.

" Megan what the hell are you doing!! " Gary said

" Im winning you back " Megan said

" No matter what you do I will never be with you " Gary said angerly

" Oh really lets just see about that " Megan said

Megan walked over to a black mini van. She opened the sliding door and out came a musclear figure. Both of them took out a hook and walked back over to Gary.

" Gary this is Jason " Megan said

Gary just stared at her in disbelief.

" Jason why dont you and Gary have a little fun " Megan said

Jason walked up to Gary and attached the hook to his back with some more ropes. Then he walked over to Ashley and started to pick her up.

" HEY HEY LEAVE HER ALONE!!! " Gary said

Jason looked at Gary then picked Ashley up and carried her over to Gary. He sat her up behind Gary so their backs where touching. Then he attached her to the hook that was already attached to Gary.

Then a loud rumble filled the sky. Gary turned his head and saw a large crane swinging twords him. Soon it stopped and Jason began to attach the hook to the end of the crane.

" What is going on? " Gary said worriedly

" You'll see " Jason said with a smirk on his face

Suddenly Gary and Ashley were being drug through the dirt and over the edge of a cliff that had a large, deep, lake at the bottom of it. Hanging by a small rope Gary was becoming more and more frightened.

" Having fun " Megan called from the cliffs edge

" Why are you doing this? " Gary called back

" Cant you see If I cant have you no one can so I thought why not kill you with your girlfriend " Megan said

" Megan please dont do this!! " Gary said

" Too late " Megan said

Gary was shocked, scared, and helpless all at the same time. Hanging there got him to think, thats when he remembered about his pocket knife. Gary reached into his pocket and pulled out his knife. He started to cut the rope and soon was free. Grabbing onto the hook Gary started to cut Ashley free. Soon she started to fall but Gary caught her.

" Smart move...but I got a smarter one " Megan said

Gary didnt know what she was talking about but soon realized what it was when the crane started to move back and fourth. Suddenly Ashley and Gary where falling and falling fast. Gary held Ashley close as they hit the water. Coming up Gary pulled Ashley to the beach and tried to wake her up but it didnt work. He picked her up and carried her to a small cave. He laid her in the corner of the cave while he got a fire started. After he got the fire going the laid down next to Ashley.

Gary knew that Megan would do something like this. but would this near death experiance change his and Ashleys relationship?

 days passed since Ashley and Gary where kidnapped. Ashley hadnt woken up yet and Gary was close to passing out. He was really weak and could barley move. If someone didnt find them soon they both would die. Back in Nashville Jay was searching for his cousin, he hadnt seen him in almost a week and was starting to worry. He was over at Garys house when he found the bloody baseball bat laying on Garys bedroom floor.

" OMG No!! " Jay yelled

" What? what is it? " Joe Don said running into the room

" S...So...Something happened to G..Ga...Gary " Jay said

" What make you say........that " Joe Don said as he looked at the baseball bat

Joe Don looked up at Jay both of them with looks of terror written on their face.

" What about Ash? " Joe Don finally said

Jay didnt say anything. He raced downstairs hoping that he would find at least one of them...but he didnt have any luck. Then he walked over to the couch and collasped onto it. Joe Don walked downstairs to find Jay sitting on the couch scared to death.

" Did you find anything? " Joe Don asked

" Does it look like it? " Jay said

" Calm down we are going to find them " Joe Don said

Jay didnt believe Joe Don he knew that his cousin and close friend were out there somewhere most likely dead or close to death.

Back in the cave things were getting worse for Gary. He was starting to get dizzy and soon he blacked out. Laying there in the cave Gary knew that he was going to die, he prayed that someone would come and help them.

After a couple of hours Jay was loosing his patience.

" Im going for a walk " Jay said

" Ok ..." Joe Don said

Jay walked out of the house and headed down the street. Soon he was walking through wooded area that lead down to a beach. Walking along the beach he walked past a small cave. Curious he looked into the cave to find Gary and Ashley both laying unconcious on the ground.

" OMG Gary can you hear me? " Jay asked shaking his cousin.

Gary didnt respond.

" Ash can you hear me? " Jay asked worriedly

Ashley didnt respond.

" Oh Boy " Jay said

Jay quickly pulled out his cell phone and called 911. Sitting there after the phone call Jay was scared to death. All he could think about where his to close friends not making it.

The paramedics arrived a hour later with the police behind them. They loaded Gary and Ashley up and took them to the nearest hospital. Jay made sure that they were put in the same room it made it easier for him and joe Don to keep a eye on both of them.

The hours went by fast and soon it was two days since Ashley and Gary were emitted into the hospital. Jay had left to get something to eat and Joe Don stayed with Gary and Ashley. He was trying to write a song when he saw Gary move his hand. When he looked up he saw Garys eyes starting to flutter then they opened.

" Gary? " Joe Don said

Gary turned his head twords Joe Don.

" JD ? " Gary said

" Hey man " Joe Don said

" JD wheres Ash? " Gary asked

" Shes over there " Joe Don said pointing to the other side of the room.

Gary turned his head and he saw her. She was laying peacefully in the bed, she had her head wrapped, her hand in a cast, a black eye and a buch of bruises.

" Is she in any pain? " Gary asked

" No she is on heavy meds " Joe Don said

" Has she woken up yet? " Gary asked

" No she hasnt " Joe Don said

" oh ok " Gary said

Joe Don could tell that Gary was upset.

" Hey shes going to be ok " Joe Don said looking over at Ashley

" How Do you know? ' Gary asked

" because shes moving her hand right now " Joe Don said

" What? ' Gary said looking at Ash.

She lifted her arm then opened her eyes. She stared at the celing for a minute then she slowly turned her head.

" Gary? " Ash said

" Ya babe " Gary said

" are you ok? " Ashley asked

" ya Im fine how bout you? " Gary asked

" Im ok " Ashley said

Gary smiled a small smile. then he reached his hand out and Ashley reached out hers they both took eachothers hand.

" Im going to go get the doctor " Joe Don said

" Ok " Gary said

Joe Don went and got the doctor. While Ashley and Gary were being examined Jay came back.

" Hey is something wrong? " Jay asked

" They woke up, the doctors checking them out now " Joe Don said

Jay was going to respond but the doctor came out before he could say anything.

" How Are they? " Joe Don asked

" There fine I dont see why they wont make a full recovery " the doctor said.

Jay and Joe Don were relieved Ashley and Gary were going to be fine

The next Day Gary and Ashley were allowed to go home and where put on strict bed rest for about a week.

" I dont wanna stay here...can I go outside? " Gary asked Jay

" No " Jay said

" but..." Gary said

" I said no...now come on and rest " Jay said leaving the room

Gary sighed then looked around the room, Ashley was sleeping peacefully next to him so he couldnt really talk to her

Sitting there Gary flashed back to the events that took place a couple of days ago. He couldnt believe that Megan would go as far as she did. Gary was taken out of his flash back when he felt somthing rub up against his chest. He looked down to see a mess of brown curly hair.

Gary chuckled

" Did you sleep good? " Gary asked Ash

" Ya " Ashley said looking up at him

" Thats good " Gary said

" you board yet? " Ashley asked smiling

" more than you will ever know " Gary said

Ashley laughed but her laughter soon stopped

" ouch " Ashley said clutching her stomach

" Ash? you ok?" Gary asked worriedly

She shook her head

" Ok um..." Gary said picking up his phone.

He sent Jay a text message hoping he would get up there quick.

Downstairs Jay was talking to Joe Don.

" Well anyway...wait hold on a sec " Jay said looking at his phone

Jay opened up the message and quickly walked into the kitchen then upstairs.

" Well looks like its time for someone to take her meds " Jay said walking into the room

Ashley sat up and took the pills and soon she fell back to sleep.

Gary watched her sleep. It was breaking his heart that she was in pain, he just wanted to take Megan and that Jason dude and strangle them.

" Hey man you should get some sleep " Jay said

" ya I should " Gary said laying down.

Jay walked out of the room and Gary fell into a peaceful sleep. Walking down the staris Jay couldnt help but think that Megan would come back. What would happen if she did?

The next couple of weeks had gone by with no sign of Megan. Today was the day that the guys where leaving for the tour and Ashley was going with.

" you ready to go? " Gary asked Ashley

" Ya " Ashley said quietly

" Hey I know what your thinking and I promise you nothing is going to happen " Gary said taking her hand and leading her onto the bus. Once she sat down they started to drive off. Gary could tell that Ashley was nervous he also knew that she needed to calm down or she will get sick. Gary walked over to the couch and sat next to Ashley.

" Sweetie you need to relax, I dont want you to get sick " Gary said rubbing her shoulders

" Gary I dont know if I can " Ashley said tensing up

" Babe look at me " Gary said taking his hand and turning her head

" Now I know your scared hell I am too but freaking out will just make it worse " Gary said

" I know " Ashley said

" Now come on and relax you'll be fine " Gary said kissing her

When they pulled apart Ashley laid her head on Garys shoulder. She knew he was right and as of right now she was going to forget about Megan and was going to have fun with the guys.

Soon it was 8 hours since they left home. Ashley was doing great she loved looking out the window at all the trees and building rolling on by. Gary loved the looking at Ashleys smile as they went through each city. They were going to a small city when Ashley started to turn pale. Gary noticed right away and got prepaired for what might happen.

" Ash you ok? " Gary asked placing his hand on her shoulder

Ashley shook her head and shot up quickly she made it to the bathroom just in time. Gary followed her in and held her hair back as she emptied her stomach into the toilet. When she was done Gary picked her up and carried her to the back bedroom where he laid her in bed.

" Now I want you to try to sleep while I get you some medicine and food ok " Gary said kissing her head

" Ok " Ashley said quietly as she closed her eyes

Gary closed the door and walked out to the kitchen area of the bus.

" Hey is she ok?"  Jay asked as he walked over to Gary

" No she got sick " Gary said as he made her a sandwhich

" so your making her a sandwhich?" Jay said

" Well ya ..food is supposed to help her with her motion sickness " Gary said as he walked back to where Ashley was resting

Gary opened the door to see Ashley sleeping. He placed the plate down on the nightstand and sat on the bed next to her. He then began to gently rub his thumb against her cheek, causing her to wake up

" Hey I got you something to eat, you need something in your stomach before you can take these " Gary said as he showed her the pills that were in his hand

" Ok" Ashley said sitting up

She took the sandwhich and ate it, then she took the pills and laid back down. Soon she fell asleep, Gary laid down next to her and soon he too fell asleep.
Jay noticed that Gary had been back with Ashley for awhile so he went back to make sure everything was ok. He opened the door to find Gary and Ashley peacfully sleeping. He chuckled and closed the door. Jay walked back to the front and sat down with Joe Don.

" Hey are they ok?"  Joe Don asked

" Ya their both sleeping " Jay said taking out the playstation

" I cant believe that Megan would threaten them like that ...it must be terrifying to know that your in danger " Joe Don said

" Ya but we cant let that bother them " Jay said as he started to play Madden 2003

" Ya I wish we could help " Joe Don said

" We can " Jay said

" How? " Joe Don asked

Jay paused his game and looked over at Joe Don with a huge grin on his face.

Joe Don had no clue what Jay was planning but whatever it was it had to be good.

Finally the bus pulled into the parking lot of the hotel. Jay went to the back bedroom to find Gary and Ashley still sleeping. He walked over to the bed and began to shake Gary.

" Gary come on man wake up " Jay said shaking him

" Hmmm what? " Gary asked as he rubbed his eyes

" Hey were at the hotel you can go back to sleep when you get into your room now come on " Jay said

Gary sat up

" Ok well be out in a sec " Gary said as Jay left

Gary then started to wake Ashley up.

" Ash, baby you gotta get up " Gary said stroking her cheek

Ashley didnt say anything she just rolled over and continued to sleep.

" Babe come on you gotta get up " Gary said pushing the blanket off of her

Ashley finally woke up, Gary thought she looked cute with her messy hair and tired eyes.

" we can go back to sleep when we get up to the room " Gary said

" Ok " Ashley said tiredly

Gary and Ashley were greeted by Joe Don as they walked off the bus.

" Well if it isnt the two sleepy heads " Joe Don said

" Haha funny " Gary said as he walked into the hotel

Gary got there room keys and headed up to the room. Once inside they threw there bags down and got into bed. Ashley was the first to fall asleep followed by Gary. While they were sleeping Jay was off planning the suprise.

" Yes...ok thank you..bye " Jay said hanging up his cell phone.

" Is it all set?" Joe Don asked

" Ya its all set " Jay said as a big smile spread across his face

" They are going to be so suprised  " Joe Don said

" Oh ya " Jay said

Soon Jay and Joe Don went to bed.

Jay woke up the next morning to the sound of a phone ringing.

" Hello? " Jay said

" Hey " Gary said

" Gary do you know what time it is? " Jay said looking at the clock

" Ya I woke up and couldnt get back to sleep " Gary said as he walked outside

" So you call me at 3 in the morning " Jay said

" I'm sorry if I woke you up...I guess I should let you get back to sleep " Gary said

" Ya that would be nice " Jay said

" Ok bye " Gary said hanging up with Jay

A few hours later everyone was awake and getting ready for breakfast.

" So whats the order again? " Gary asked taking a bite of his pancake

" Um Praying for daylight, Melt, These days, Im movin on, then were ending with everyday love " Jay said

" Ok " Gary said

They talked some more about the concert set up then they all headed to the venue, sitting inside the limo Gary could tell that Ashley was excited.

"  Having fun? " Gary asked kissing the top of her head

" Ya I cant wait to see what the venue looks like " Ashley said

" Oh you've never been to one before?"  Gary said

" Well I have never been to a concert before so ya " Ashley said

" Really I guess I'll have to make your first one special " Gary said smileing

" I bet you will " Ashley said

They shared a small kiss and continued to look out the window.

No more than 6 hours later it was time for the concert and time for the suprise. They guys were on stage singing their hearts out. After they finished their first song Jay decided it was time.

" ok ya'll I would like to have a special younge lady come out here...Ash sweetie can you come here please? " Jay said

Gary walked over to Jay.

" dude what are you doing this wasnt part of the plan " Gary said turning off his mic so the fans wouldnt hear.

" Maybe it was " Jay said

Ashley walked onto the stage nervously.

" ok now go stand next to your man " Jay said

Ashley shot him a look and walked over to Gary

" hey " Gary said

" Hey, Gary whats going on? " Ashley

" I dont know " Gary said taking her hand

" Well here are two people who are madly in love, they recently were in a accident and well have been a little down lately so me and Joe Don decided to give them a little suprise " Jay said

Gary looked at Ashley then at Jay he didnt know what was going to happen but he was soon going to find out.

Suddenly all the lights in the areana went out. Music started to play and a spotlight hit the corner of the stage. Gary and Ashley looked over to where the light was showing both amazed at who was standing in it.

" Ladies and Gentlemen please welome to the stage...MR.VINCE GILL!!!" Jay said through his microphone.

The fans went Crazy, Gary was shocked, he dreamed of the moment he would get to meet his idol, Gary always sang Vince Gill songs back in the the bar and now he gets to meet him.

" Gary is that really vince gill? " Ashley asked with excitement in her voice

" Ya it is" Gary said

Vince walked out to the middle of the middle of the stage right next to Gary who was truely star struck.

" Hey hows everyone doing? " Vince said

The fans cheered.

" Well I hear you two are big fans of mine " Vince said looking at Gary and Ashley

" Ya we are " Gary said into his mic

" Well why dont we do some singing....would you like to join me? " Vince asked Gary

" I would be honored to " Gary said

Thats when the music got louder. Gary and Vince traded off verses to a couple of songs. Soon the guys were done singing and it was time for Brooks and Dunn to come out.

Walking off of the stage Gary thought he was dreaming, but he wasnt.

" you did great babe " Ashley said kissing Garys cheek

" I cant believe I really sang with Vince Gill " Gary said sitting on the couch.

" believe it babe and let me tell you it was amazing " Ashley said sitting next to him

" You really think so? " Gary said

" I dont think so I know so " Ashley said

" Thanks baby " Gary said kissing Ash

" Your welcome " Ashley said once they pulled apart.

They sat there for a few minutes before Gary went and took a shower. Once he was done showering they headed out to the bus where Jay and Joe Don were waiting to go.

" Well looks like the love birds are here " Jay said

" Hey man....thanks for the suprise it was awsome " Gary said giving Jay and Joe Don a hug

" No problem man " Jay said

Jay and Joe Don went over to Ashley and gave her a hug. They all sat down on the couch and talked as they headed to the hotel. Soon Gary and Ashley were in there room, Ashley couldnt wait to see what else was in store for them during this tour.

They guys were now three months into the tour. Ashley was having the time of her life, she had so many pranks pulled on her and now it was her turn. The perfect moment came one night when they were in Colorado. Gary was sound asleep in his bunk, Ashley knew that He was a heavy sleeper. Ashley went to the front of the bus to see if the other two wanted to join in on the fun.

" Hey you guys feel like having some fun? " Ashley asked

" Well depends what do you have in mind? " Jay said

" Pulling a prank on Gary " Ashley said

" Ok Im in how bout you Joe? " Jay said

" Count me in too " Joe Don said

" ok so what should we do? " Ashley asked

" Well since GAC tried to kill us Gary hasnt really been fond of salt water...and I know the perfect place to get some " Jay said with a smirk on his face

" So are you saying we should drench him in salt water?"  Ashley said

" Throw some sand and shaving cream in there and your set " Joe Don said

" Ok so when to we take action? " Jay said

" Well I'm sure the fans would like to see it so how about tomarrow night during the show " Ashley said

" your so bad...I like it " Jay said

Ashley just laughed.

" Well I'm going to head back to bed " Ashley said

" Ok goodnight " Jay and Joe Don said

Ashley went back to bed and fell asleep. She was so excited for the show tomarrow she couldnt wait to see the look on his face when it all came coming down on him.

The next morning Ashley woke up, Jay and Joe Don werent up but she had a feeling that Gary was. She walked out to the front of the bus to see that her hunch was right.

" well good morning beautiful " Gary said getting up from the couch and going over to Ashley

" good morning " Ashley said pouring herself a cup of coffee

Ashley turned around and Gary placed a small kiss on her lips.

" so whats the plan for today " Ashley said

" sound check, break, meet and greet, then concert " Gary said

" so the usual  " Ashley said

" Ya " Gary said

The both walked back over to the couch and sat down. The both watched T.V  until Jay and Joe Don woke up.

Soon it was time for the guys to go to sound check. The day went by fast and soon it was time for the concert. Ashley was sitting in the Flatts Shack with Jay while Joe Don and Gary were at wardrobe and makeup.

" so is everything set? " Ashley asked Jay

" Yep the band set it up during our break " Jay said

" sweet...so what is the signal " Ashley asked

" well I will lure Gary to  certain spot on the stage, then you and our makeup artist Emily will have a rope that you will pull when I stomp my foot " Jay said

" Ok got it " Ashley said

" Hey Jay we're on " The guys manager called into the room

" Ok I gotta go " Jay said

" Have fun " Ashley said

" You too " Jay said

After Jay left Ashley went and took her place next to Emily.

" you excited " Emily asked

" Ya I am how bout you? " Ashley asked

" ya " Emily said

Soon it was time for the fun to begin. It was the middle of the concert and like Jay said he started to lure Gary to the middle of the stage.

" Hey man you see that girl right there? " Jay said

" Where? " Gary said looking out into the crowd

" Here you can see better if you stand right here " Jay said

Jay and Gary traded places

" you mean the blonde?" Gary asked

" Ya she makes me wanna dance " Jay said

Jay stomped his foot, Ashley and Emily looked at eachother than pulled the rope. Suddenly salt water, confetti, sand, and whip cream came down. Gary looked up as it all came falling down on him.

The fans went wild, the whole stadium was full of laughter.

" haha very funny " Gary said wiping off his face

" Man your girlfriend is a prank master " Jay said laughing

" what? " Gary asked

" dude she planned this whole thing " Joe Don said

" ya this is her payback for all the pranks you pulled on her " Jay said

" so Ashley come out here " Joe Don said

Ashley walked out onto the stage, she could tell that Gary was suprised.

" awe your not upset are you " Ashley asked walking up to Gary

" No not upset suprised but not upset " Gary said

Ashley just laughed, she couldnt believe that the prank actually worked what she didnt know was that someone was going to seek their revenge.

The past 3 months had gone by fast, today was the guys last concert before the guys headed home. Everyone was pumped and excited, everyone execpt Ashley

" Hey whats wrong? " Gary asked her after he was done with sound check.

" Nothing " Ashley said

" If its nothing than why do you look so scared? " Gary said

" Well... " Ashley said

" Well what? " Gary asked

" I have a bad feeling that something is going to happen " Ashley said

" Babe I promise nothing bad will happen " Gary said

Ashley wanted to believe him, but she couldnt.

Later Ashley was walking to the side of the stage when someone pulled her back. She turned around to come face to face with a man in a dark mask.

" Wh..who are you?" Ashley asked

" Come with me and I wont hurt you " the man said

Ashley went with the man praying to God that she wouldnt be hurt.

They guys started the concert. Everything was going smoothly that was until Gary looked over to the side of the stage to see Ashley not there.

" Ok time out " Gary said as he ran to the side of the stage

" Emily wheres Ash?" Gary asked worriedly

" I dont know, she wasnt in the hang out room, the bathroom, or on the bus shes missing " Emily said

" Oh God no " Gary said

Just then Jay and Joe Don came running over

" Gary whats going on? " Jay asked

" Ash is missing " Gary said

" Do you think Megan had anything to do with it? " Joe Don asked

Gary just nodded his head, why couldnt Megan just leave her alone.

Meanwhile somewhere on a abonded highway Ashley was stuck with a complete stranger, or so she thought. The man pulled the car over in a field type area.

" I bet your wondering where we are and who I am " The man said

Ashley just nodded her head.

" Well why dont I show you " The man said

Ashley looked him as he took off his mask, after it was completly off she was shocked at who he was.

Finally at 4 in the morning Jay, Joe Don, Gary, and Ashley made it back to there hotel. Right as Gary walked into the room he fell on the bed and went to sleep, but not Ashley. Ashley walked over to the the window and just looked at the lights of the city. She thought about what happened and was glad that the everything was over and done with. She looked over at Gary, she could hear his low snore and smiled. Then she walked over to the bed and layed next him soon she too fell asleep. The next morning Ashley woke up to the feeling of someone watching her, she turned her head and saw Gary smiling at her.

" Good morning sunshine " Gary said

" Good morning cowboy " Ashley said

" sleep good? " Gary asked

" Very, how bout you? " Ashley asked

" like a baby " Gary said

Ashley smiled then kissed him lightly.

" So what do you have planed for today " Ashley asked

" Well I was thinking that we could go have a little picnic in the park and then come back and have a nice quiet dinner " Gary said

" sounds good " Ashley said

" why dont we go and get some brekfast? Im starving " Gary said getting out of bed

" Ok " Ashley said

A few minutes later they were walking down the hall twords the elevator when they ran into Jay and Joe Don.

" Well if it isnt the two love birds " Jay said

" Hi Jay " Ashley said giving him a hug

" Hey sweetheart how did you sleep? " Jay said

" Good how bout you? " Ashley asked

" Good " Jay said

" Hey can I have a hug? " Joe Don asked

" Of course " Ashley said walking over and giving him a hug

" thanks darling " Joe Don said

" so you guys headed down to eat? " Gary asked

" Ya how bout you guys? " Jay said

" ya we are too " Gary said

" Why dont we all just go together " Ashley said

" Sounds good " Joe Don said

They all headed down to the hotel resturant, then Gary and Ashley went on there picnic in the park. They had so much fun talking and running around the park. Soon it was time for there dinner. Gary was wearing a white button down shirt and jeans with cowboy boots, Ashley was in a blue spegetti strap dress and high heels, her hair was left down and her makeup was soft.

" Wow you look stunning " Gary said taking her hand

" your not so bad yourself " Ashley said

they stood there in silence for a moment.

" are you ready to go " Gary asked

" ya " Ashley said

Gary started leading Ashley to the balcony, she was suprised she thought that they were going out to a restruant. When they were completely out on the balcony Ashleys breath was taken away.
Gary had a candle lit table set up, there was soft music playing through the portable radio, there was red wine on the table and rose pedals everywhere.

" you like it? " Gary asked

" I love it " Ashley said

Gary smiled then he pulled out her chair and had her sit down. They ate there pasta and had talked.

" I cant believe you did this all for me " Ashley said

" Honey I would do anything for you I love you " Gary said

" I love you too " Ashley said

They both leaned in and kissed, the kiss turned into a hot make out session and soon Gary picked Ashley up and carried her back into the hotel room. he laid her down on the bed where they began to take eachother clothes off, soon they were making love for the first time. Every touch, every kiss made their love for eachother grow. After there hour of love making they were laying in eachothers arms talking.

" you have know idea how long Ive been waiting to do that " Gary said

" what took you so long? " Ashley asked

" I wanted everything to be perfect " Gary said

" Oh and it was " Ashley said

They made love again laying there afterwards they both knew that this is where they want to be in eachothers arms.



 

As the months changed so did Gary and Ashley, they both were more in love than ever before. Not only were they in love but so was Jay, he had met a girl named Allison a few months back durning one of the guys video shoots, they've been together ever since.

Soon Gary, Jay, and Joe Don were back in the studio writing and recording new songs for there new album. While the guys were in the studio Ashley and Allison were eaither shopping, getting manicures, or just having some girl talk at home. One day the girls were having some Girl talk at home while the guys were out doing there job. During there break the guys went downtown to eat when Gary wanted to leave.

" Hey man where do you need to go in such a hurry " Jay asked

" somewhere " Gary said

" Well cant it wait until we are done here? " Joe Don asked

" I guess it could " Gary said

Both Jay and Joe Don could tell that Gary was nervous but they didnt want to push him.

Once they were done eating Gary started heading down the street, he was walking so fast that the other two couldnt keep up.

" Gary slow down!!! " Jay called to him, but it didnt work

" GARY!! " Joe Don called

Gary kept walking he was so nervous he had never done anything like this before and didnt know what to expect. Jay and Joe Don soon got fed up with how fast he was going and ran to catch up to him.

" Man seriously slow down " Jay said struggling to walk beside him

" Im sorry Im just nervous " Gary said

" nervous about what? " Joe don asked

Gary didnt answer he just stopped dead in his tracks in front of a building, when Jay and Joe Don looked up they were suprised at where they were.

" Gary are you going to..." Jay said as he was cut off by Gary

" Ya I am " Gary said cutting him off

" Wow thats great man " Joe Don said

Gary just smiled, he knew that he was doing the right thing. Gary walked into the store with Joe don and Jay close behind.

" which one should I get her?  " Gary asked

" Well which one do you think she would like? " Jay asked

" All of them " Gary said

" Hey Gary I think I found one " Joe don said

Gary walked over to Joe don and looked into the glass showcase.

" Its perfect " Gary said

" Can I help you gentlemen? " the store worker asked

" Um yes I would like to get this one right here " Gary said pointing to the glass

" Ahh good choice sir " the worker said as he took the ring out of the showcase.

Gary went and paid for it then they headed back to the studio, on the way Jay and Joe Don asked questions.

" so when are you going to do it? " Jay asked

" I was thinking tomarrow night after dinner " Gary said

" nice so where are you going to dinner? " Joe Don asked

" Well you know that resturant down by the river? " Gary asked

" you mean that big fancy one? " Joe Don asked

" Ya that one " Gary said

" Good choice my friend " Jay said as they walked into the studio

Later that night Gary arrived home to find Ashley asleep on the couch. He quietly went over to her and gently stroked her cheek.

" hmm Gary? " Ashley asked as she woke up

" Hey babe " Gary said

" When did you get home? " Ashley asked tiredly

" I just walked in the door, come on lets go to bed " Gary said taking her hand and helping her off of the couch.

They both walked up to bed Ashley went straight to sleep as Gary crawled in next to her. He thought about what was going to happen tomarrow night as he snuggled up to her.

 

Later that night Ashley was getting ready for her dinner with Gary. She put on a black dress with black high heels, her make up  was soft and her hair was put up. Gary was standing at the bottom of the stairs nervously waiting for Ashley to come down.He was wearing a royal blue button down shirt with light jeans and black cowboy boots.  He was about to call up to her when he saw her, right away the nervousness just dissapeared.

" Wow you look beautiful " Gary said taking her hand and kissing it

" And you look handsome " Ashley said

" Well we better get going " Gary said

They walked out to the car and headed to the resterant. Once they got there at looked at where they were eating.

" Wow " Ashley said as she got out of the car

" you like it " Gary said

" I dont know...Ive never been here before " Ashley said looking at Gary

Gary just smiled, her reaction was exactly what he was aiming for.

Gary took her hand a led her inside, once inside Ashleys breath was taken away,Everything was beautifly decorated.

Gary checked them in and they were led to a table ouside. The table was by the edge of the deck so you could see the lake.

" Gary this is so beautiful, I cant believe you did this for me " Ashley said

Gary reached over and took her hand.

" I would do anything for you " Gary said with a smile on his face.

Ashley smiled back just as the waitor came and took there order. They both orderd the lasanga with a garden salad and some red wine. After dinner Gary took Ashley to the park where they first met. He took her over to the bench they were sitting at when they shared there first hello.

" Gary do you remember what you first said to me? " Ashley asked

" ya I believe it was Mind if I join you? " Gary said

" ya it was " Ashley said

They both sat there in silence.

" Ash? " Gary said

" ya " Ashley said

" you know I love you right? " Gary said looking at her

" Ya I know " Ashley said wondering where he was going with this

" And that I would never hurt you right? " Gary said

" ya, Gary where are you going with this? " Ashley asked

" Ok, baby when I first saw you sitting here I knew you were something special, I love you with all my heart, and all my soul, now I only have one thing to ask you " Gary said

Ashley just sat there waiting to see what he was going to ask, suddenly he got up and got down on one knee before her.

" Ashley will you marry me? " Gary asked

" Yes,yes, yes " Ashley said as the tears rolled down her face.

Gary got up, put the ring on her finger, and gave her a long slow kiss.

" Im so happy you said yes" Gary said into her ear as he held her close

" Im so happy you proposed " Ashley said laying her head on his shoulder.

Everything was silent as they held eachother close, they both couldnt wait to share the good news with everyone. But would everyone agree with it?

The next day everyone was over at Garys for dinner. They all were haveing a great time when Gary stood up and started to speak.

" Can i have everyones attention " Gary said

Everyone stopped eating at looked up at Gary.

" Ok well I hope everyone is having a good time and well Ashley and myself wanted you all to be the first to know that last night I asked Ash to be wife and she said yes so We're getting married " Gary said looking at Ashley

Everyone clapped and congratulated them on the engagement. Ashley and Gary couldt be happier.

Later that night Gary was standing outside stareing up at the stars when he heard someone walking up behind him.

" hey Jay " Gary said when he saw who was there

" Hey man " Jay said

They were silent for a moment.

" Im glad you didnt chicken out " Jay said looking at Gary

" Ya I am too " Gary said

" You really care about her dont you " Jay said

" Ya Jay I mean shes everything to me I dont know what I would do without her " Gary said

Soon Ashley came out to check on Gary.

" Hey guys whats up? " Ashley asked comeing up to Gary

" Nothing much I was just telling G man here how happy I am for you too " Jay said hugging her

" aww thanks Jay " Ashley said

" Well I better get back in there before Joe don does something stupid " Jay said walking back to the house

" Ok we'll be back in a bit " Gary called to him

Ashley looked up at Gary then layed her head on his shoulder.

" This is nice isnt it? " Ashley said

" Ya it is, I love being here with you " Gary said

Suddenly Ashley began to Shiver.

" you cold? ' Gary asked

" ya " Ashley said

Gary pulled Ash in front of him and wrapped his arms around her.

" is that better? " Gary asked

" much better " Ashley said leaning into his embrace.

Jay was standing in front of the window watching them he could tell that they were madly in love, but would there fairytail love come to a crashing end?

The next day Gary and Ashley decided to start planning the wedding, the date was set for August 25. They were choosing the wedding colors but nothing that they thought of seemed to stick.

" How about lime green and white? " Gary asked

" No thats what my cousin had for hers " Ash said

" Um ok then how bout royal blue and white? " Gary asked

Ashley thought about it for a minute, then she smiled

" yes its perfect! " Ashley said

" ok wedding colors are done now all we need to do is get the rings, the cake, a place for the reception and the wedding, dresses, tuxes, honeymoon... " Ashley said reading off the list but was cut off by Gary

" baby we got 6 months to do this now lets just relax for a bit ok " Gary said

" Ok your right " Ashley said

Gary took her hand and led her into the living room.

" Now sit down and relax " Gary said

" Ok " Ashley said sitting down on the couch

Gary went and chose a movie and got some snacks then he sat down next to Ash on the couch. Ashley layed her head on his shoulder and relaxed. Soon Ashley fell asleep, Gary was still wide awake watching the movie.

" Hey babe can you hand my water " Gary said

Gary didnt get a response.

" Ash? babe are you....." Gary said looking down at Ash only to find her asleep. Gary chuckled to himself then he carefully lifed his arm out from under her head. He got up and turned the movie off then he went and carried Ashley up to bed. After he did that he decided to go and try to get some song writing done.

A couple of hours later Ashley woke up from her nap. She walked down the stairs to find Gary not there.

" Gary? " Ashley called out

Everything was silent, She was about to call out his name when she heard soft music coming from Garys studio. She walked up to the studio door to hear Gary singing. She didnt want to inturpt him so she went and started to make dinner.

A couple of minutes later Gary emerged from his studio to smell something good. He walked into the kitchen to find Ashley cooking dinner.

" Whats cooking " Gary said wrapping his arms around her waitst

" chicken wrapped in bacon and cream cheese with steamed veggies and potatoes " Ashley said

" mmm sounds good " Gary said

Gary and Ashley were injoying there dinner when Garys cell rang. He got up and answered it. When he came back he had a look on his face that wasnt good.

Ashley looked at him she prayed that it wasnt anything too serious.

" Gary baby is everything ok? " Ashley asked

Gary looked at Ash how was he going to tell her?

" Gary what is it? " Ashley asked worriedly

Gary sat down and took her hands in his.

" that was our manager we have to go back out on tour " Gary said

" oh ok for how long " Ashley asked

Gary was silent for a moment.

" 7 months " Gary said

Ashley looked into his eyes.

" But the weddings in 6 months " Ashley said

" I know but theres nothing I can do I tried to have them hold it off until after the wedding but they cant " Gary said

Ashleys eyes began to fill with tears, she didnt know what to say so she left the kitchen and went up to their bedroom. Gary sighed as he heard the bedroom door slam he knew that she would take it hard but there was nothing he could do.

Gary sat there for a couple of minutes before he started to do the dishes. He kept thinking of how hurt Ash was, she had been working hard all day only to have all of it squashed. The more Gary thought about it the more guilty he felt. Then something dawned on him. When Ash went on there last tour with them she liked to stand on the beach, she had told Gary that the beach is somewhere she thought was peacefull and beautiful. Gary dropped the plate he had in his hand and ran to look at the tour schedual soon he found that they were to perform in Florida the same week that the wedding was supposed to be, which would be a perfect place to have the wedding. Gary set the calander down and raced up the stairs he hoped that Ash would agree with his plan.

He walked up to the bedroom door and walked in to see Ash sitting on the window seat.

" Hey babe I want to run a thought by you " Gary said

" Gary I really.." Ash said but was cut off by Gary

" please " Gary said giving her puppy dog eyes

" Ok fine " Ash said

" Well we are supposed to have a show in Floridia the same week that wedding is supposed to be and you said that you liked beaches so I thought why not have the wedding there " Gary said

" what about your family and mine? " Ash said

" We can fly both of our families there, so what do you say? " Gary said

Ashley thought about it for a minute.

" Ok lets do it " Ashley said as a big smile came across her face

Gary stood up and pulled Ashley in for bear hug, they were finally getting married and nothing was going to stop them.

The next couple of days went by fast and soon it was the day before the guys and Ashley went out on tour. The guys were over at Garys and Ashleys going over the plan.

" So you excited to go out on tour again " Jay asked Ashley

" ya I am, I had so much fun with you guys! " Ashley said

" haha ya we had some good times, speaking of the tour how would you feel if I invited Allison to come out for awhile " Jay said

" I would love it!! " Ashley said

" good cause I already invited her " Jay said

Ashley smiled a big smile she couldnt wait to see Allison again.

" So how are the wedding plans coming along? " Joe Don asked

" There coming good but this guy here doesnt seem to wanna do anything but relax " Ashley said looking at Gary

" Well we do have 6 months before the wedding and everything is basically done so I thought I could relax a bit " Gary said returning Ashleys look

" He does have a point " Joe Don said

" I know I'm just worried I want everything to be perfect " Ashley said

" And it will be so dont worry about it " Gary said taking Ashleys hand and giving it a squeeze

"Ok ok so enough about the wedding, what time do we leave tomarrow " Ashley said

" Well the bus will be here to get you guys at noon " Jay said

" Ok " Gary said

Everyone was silent, after a few moments Jay decided to break the silence.

" Well i should probobly get home " Jay said

" ya I should too " Joe Don said

" Ok We'll see you guys tomarrow " Ashley said giving Jay and Joe don a hug

" And JD try not to be late this time " Gary said

" Ok I'll try " Joe don said

Jay and Joe Don left. Gary and Ashley decided to pass the time by watching some movies. After the movies were done they decided to pack their bags. Half a hour later they were done packing Ashley looked at the clock to see that it was only 3 in the afternoon.

" Gary its only 3...what should we do now? " Ashley asked Gary

" Well I was thinking we could do something along the lines of this " Gary said kissing Ashleys neck

" Hmm I like that idea " Ashley said turing around and giving Gary a kiss

Gary smiled and Chased Ashley up to the bedroom where they made love. After there afternoon of love making Ashley and Gary were laying in eachothers arms talking.

" so you excited for tomarrow? " Ashley asked Gary

" ya I'm always excited to go on the road " Gary said

" i bet you are " Ashley said

" Im excited about the wedding too, I cant wait to make you my wife " Gary said

" Ya, but I have to admit I'm already getting butterflies from just thinking about it " Ashley said

" Everything will be fine, you'll see " Gary said kissing Ashleys head

" I know " Ashley said looking into Garys eyes.

Soon they were kissing and making love again. Both of them couldnt wait to get married but will someones jealousy ruin the happy day?

Ashley woke up the next morning to feel Garys arms wrapped around her waist. She looked over at him, his hair was tossled and his face was buried in her pillow she thought he looked cute. Slowly without waking Gary up Ashley got out of bed and took a shower. Looking in the mirror afterwards she couldnt help but think of how much she changed, she was happier so much happier just thinking about it made her smile. Ashley then walked out of the bathroom, got dressed, and went downstairs to make some much needed coffee. Once the coffee was made she headed down to the docks to think. Sitting on the bench with the warm cup in her hands Ashley let her thoughts fill her mind. She thought about how much her life had changed, she thought about how much she had been hurt and now she was the happiest woman in the world, then she thought about Gary she couldnt wait to become his wife she knew that he was the one for her but something in her gut told her that it was wrong that she shouldnt be marrying him. Ashley was so deep in thought that she didnt her Gary walk up behind her.

" Good morning beautiful " Gary said

Ashley didnt answer she kept stareing off into space.

" Ash? " Gary said walking in front of the bench to see what was wrong. When he looked at her he could tell she was deep in thought.

" Ash hey Ash " Gary said waving a hand in front of her face

" huh what? " Ashley asked looking at Gary

" Hey you ok? " Gary said with worry

" um ya Im fine " Ashley said

" Ok " Gary said knowing that something was bothering her.

" you hungry? I can make you something " Ashley said

" Ya lets go " Gary said helping Ashley up.

As they walked up to the house Ashley was quiet. Gary didnt know what to do he didnt want to push her for answers but he also didnt want her to worry.

" so what should I make? " Ashley asked

" how bout some eggs and bacon..then I'll make the toast " Gary said

" Ok sounds good " Ashley said

As Gary made the toast he kept looking over at Ashley, he knew she was scared and hoped that she would tell him what was bothering her.

" ok eggs and bacon are ready " Ashley said putting them on a plate and taking them to the table

" so is the toast " Gary said walking over to the table with the plate of toast

They ate there breakfast in peace, then after breakfast they did the dishes. Soon the bus was in the driveway and it was time to go.

" well hello love birds " Jay said as Gary and Ashley got on the bus

" Hey Jay " Ashley said

" Hey how are you doing? " Jay asked

" Im good how are you? " Ashley asked sitting on the couch next to Joe Don

" Im good, hey Gary how are you? " Jay asked

" Im ok, Jay do you think i can talk to you in private? " Gary asked looking at Ash talk to Joe don

" ya sure come on " Jay said heading to the back of the bus with Gary.

" so whats up? " Jay asked

" I think Ash is having second thoughts about marrying me " Gary said with sadness and fear in his eyes

" what? Gary what makes you say that? did she tell you? " Jay asked

" No but this morning she was distant, quiet, deep in thought, im really worried Jay " Gary said

" Maybe its something else " Jay said

" She would've told me " Gary said

Jay was silent he didnt know what to say so he just layed his hand on his cousins shoulder for support.

" what do I do Jay? I cant go face her not until i know whats going on " Gary said

" we'll figure out whats wrong but until then you gotta go out there and act like nothing is going on " Jay said

Gary nodded his head and walked back to the front of the bus. Jay watched as his cousin walked away he prayed that they would solve this problem before the wedding but what if they didnt?

As the days went by things with Gary and Ashley got worse. Gary had tried talking to Ash, but she wouldnt answer back. Soon Gary was getting sick of it and decided it needed to stop. One night after the guys were done performing, Gary went to Ashleys hotel room hoping to get through to her. He walked up to her her door, took a deep breath, and knocked. Suprisingly Ashley answered, she stood there suprised as she looked at who was standing there. Gary took a minute before he spoke.

" Ash we need to talk " Gary said

Ashley nodded her head and let him in, she knew what he wanted to talk about.

" Ash things with us are'nt what they use to be....I think its best if we break up " Gary said with tear filled eyes

" No thats not a good idea " Ashley finally said after a few moments of silence

" Ash Ive tried to get through to you, what else do you want me to do? " Gary asked

" I want you to sit down and listen " Ashley said

Gary did as Ashley asked he sat down and waited for Ashley to speak.

" Gary I've been thinking long and hard about this, to tell you the truth Im scared to death " Ashley said getting chocked up

" Ash you've told me that before, I understand that but what you've been doing lately is what is really bothering me " Gary said

" No Gary you dont understand, I'm so confused, so lost, I dont know what to do, my heart is telling me be with you but my mind is telling me that its wrong " Ashley said completely breaking down

Gary silently got up from the chair he was sitting in and walked over to Ash. Then he took her in his arms and held her as she cried.

" Im so sorry for hurting you, Im just so confused, so scared, I dont know what to do " Ashley said as she cried into Garys chest.

" Its ok, but right now what we need to do is sit down and work this out, ok? " Gary said

" Ok " Ashley said pulling away

Gary took Ashleys hand and walked her over to the bed where they sat down and talked. After about a hour of talking things between Gary and Ashley were better but not perfect. 

" what do we do now? " Ashley asked

" Well we take this one day at a time, but for now you can join me for a late dinner " Gary said with a smile

" Ok " Ashley said

Gary helped Ashley off of the bed and led her out of the room, he took her to a small diner downtown were they ate and talked like so many times before. Walking back to the hotel they ran into Jay and Joe Don.

" Hey guys " Ashley said

" Hey sweetheart " Jay said

" guys Im sorry for acting so strange I was just so confused but Im better now " Ashley said looking at Gary

" oh thats ok, we understand " Joe Don said giving her a hug

" Gary can I have a word with you " Jay said

" ya sure " Gary said walking away from Joe Don and Ashley

" So Im guessing you talked to her? " Jay said

" ya I did " Gary said

" What was wrong? " Jay asked

Gary explained to Jay what was going on and what was going to happen.

" so the weddings still on right? " Jay asked

" ya it is " Gary said

" Ok just checking, now go on and get back with your woman " Jay said with a smile

Gary chuckled as he walked back to Ashley and Joe Don

" you ready to go? " Gary asked

" ya lets go " Ashley said

Gary and Ashley said their goodbyes to Jay and Joe Don and started walking back to the hotel.

Watching Gary and Ashley walk hand in hand Jay and Joe Don thanked God that they worked things out.

Well here it is the wedding day. Jay, Allison and Joe don couldnt tell who was more nervous Ashley or Gary. Allison was over in Garys hotel room with Ashley while Jay and Joe Don were with Gary in Jays hotel room.

" Oh God Ally I dont know if I can do this, what if I do something stupid? " Ashley said to Ally as she was getting her hair and make up done

" Ash everything will be fine, just look at Gary and everything will be fine " Allison said

" Ok " Ashley said

Meanwhile back in Jays room Gary was pacing around the hotel room.

" Gary come sit down and relax a little " Joe Don said

" ya seriously I really dont want a hole in the floor! " Jay said

" Sorry Im just nervous " Gary said walking over and in between Jay and Joe don on the couch

" Everything going to be fine " Joe don said

" I know.. " Gary said nervously

Jay and Joe Don did there best to keep Garys mind off the wedding and it seemed to be working. Soon it was time to go to the beach.
" You ready to go? " Jay asked Gary

" Ya lets go " Gary said

Gary, Jay, and Joe Don all left and went down to the beach where the wedding was going to take place. The beach had chairs lined up for people to sit down, Gary and Ashley would be standing where the water comes up and hits your feet. While the guys were getting set Allison and Ashley were getting ready to leave.

" Well its time to go, you ready? " Allison said

" ya lets go " Ashley said

Ashley and Allison went down to the beach, they stayed in twords the back of where everything was set up. Ashleys dad met them there.

" wow my baby girl is getting married " Brian said

" ya I am " Ashley said as the wedding march began

" looks like its time " Brian said

" ya I guess it is " Ashley said

Brian started to lead Ashley down the isle, As soon as she saw Gary all of her worries dissapeared. The closer she got the more excited she felt.

" who gives this woman to this man " The preacher said when Ashley made it to the alter.

" Her family and friends do " Brian said handing Ashley off to Gary

During the ceramony Ashley wouldnt take her eyes off of Gary , and Gary wouldnt take his eyes off of Ashley. Soon they both were saying there vows.

" Baby when I first saw you I knew you were something special and now look where we are, I dont know what I would do with out you I love you with all my heart " Gary said

" Gary you have been through so much with me, I love so much I cant picture my life without you, I love you " Ashley said as tears rolled down her cheeks.

" May I have the rings please " The preacher said

Jay got up and handed the preacher the rings.

" Gary take this ring and put it on Ashleys finger and repeat after me, with this ring I thee wed " The preacher said

" Ashley with this ring I the wed " Gary said putting the ring on her finger

" Now Ashley take this ring and put it on Garys finger then repeat after me.... with this ring I thee wed " the Preacher said

" Gary with this ring I thee wed " Ashley said putting the ring on Garys finger

" Now by the power invested in me and the state of Florida I now pernounce Mr. and Mrs. Levox, you may now kiss the bride " the preacher said

Gary lifted Ashleys veil and kissed her hard, then he took her hand and walked her back to the hotel.

" We did it! " Gary said spinning Ashley around

" yes we did! " Ashley said

" I love you Mrs. Levox " Gary said

" I love you to Mr. LeVox " Ashley said kissing Gary.

After they pulled away they looked into eachothers eyes, both knowing that this was the start of a new life together.

 months later things seemed to be going great. The past 6 months were full of honeymooning, music writing and recording, and just being lazy at home. For the past three days Ashley hasnt been feeling well and Gary was getting worried.

" baby I think we should go see a doctor " Gary said

" no Im fine " Ashley said

" you dont look fine " Gary said

Ashley was about to relply but instead rushed to the bathroom and emptied her stomach. Gary followd her and held her hair back. When she was done, Gary took her to the bedroom and had her lay down.

" Ash I really worried about you, please will you go see a doctor " Gary said

Ashley sighed.

" Ok I'll go " Ashley said

" thank you " Gary said kissing her head

Later that day Ashley called the doctor and set up a appointment. Soon she was sitting in a cold doctors office waiting for the doctor to come in. Finally the door opened and in walked the doctor.

" Hi Im doctor Anderson " doctor anderson said

" Hi " Ashley replied

" well why dont you tell me whats going on " doctor anderson said

" Ok I've been throwing up for the past three days, sleeping a lot, sometimes i get dizzy " Ashley said

" Ok, Im going to take some blood and we'll go from there " doctor anderson said

The doctor took some blood and told Ashley that he would contact her in a couple of days. When Ashley got home Gary was sitting on the couch reading.

" Hey babe how was it? " Gary asked looking up from his book

" it was ok " Ashley said walking over and sitting next to Gary

" what did they say? " Gary asked

" nothing, they took some blood and the doctor said he will call me back in a couple of days with the results " Ashley said laying her head on Garys shoulder

" Ok, well why dont you get some sleep you seem really tired " Gary said

" Ok Only if you go with me " Ashley said

Gary chuckled.

" OK lets go " Gary said taking Ashleys hand and leading her to the bedroom where they both fell asleep well tried to sleep anyway, Gary wasnt able to sleep he was to worried about Ash he prayed that nothing to serious was wrong with her but what if there was?

the next day went by very slowly for Gary, he was really worried that something was wrong with Ash. He spent the whole day waiting around to see if the doctor had called yet, but they didnt. Finally the next morning Gary got the call he was waiting for. He was watching his usuall hunting show when the phone rang.

" Hello? " Gary said

" Hello my name is doctor anderson may I speak to Mrs. LeVox " Doctor Anderson said

" Oh Mrs. LeVox is sleeping " Gary said

" Oh ok, am I speaking to Mr. LeVox? " Doctor Anderson asked

" Yes you are " Gary said

" Ok I'll just tell you the results then, It seems that Mrs. LeVox is pregnant, 3 months to be exact " Docotor Anderson said

Gary was silent. He didnt know what to say. Finally he spoke

" omg shes pregnant.....ok um thanks so much " Gary said

" its no problem if you need anything just call me your wife has my number " Doctor Anderson said

" Ok I will thank you " Gary said hanging up with the docotor.

Gary put his phone down and walked quickly to the bedroom where Ashley was peacfully sleeping. He carefully sat down on the bed next to her and watched her as she slept. He couldnt beleive it, she was pregnant with his child, he was so excited to tell her. And soon the time for him to share the news came, ash woke up.

" Hi " Ash said when she woke up

" Hi " Gary said trying to hold in the excitement

" Gary you ok? " Ash said sitting up

" Ya I couldnt be better " Gary said smiling at her

" ok whats going on " Ash said looking at him

" ok the doctor called " Gary said

" really? what did he say? " Ashley asked

" your 3 months pregnant " Gary said excitedly

Ashley just sat there with wide eyes. Gary looked at her expression. As he did he couldnt help but think that it was all a mistake, but was it?
