KAMPFGRUPPE KAEPPNER

 Portraying the men of Fallschirmjager Regiment 2 and the men of the 'Hermann Göring Division'

Kampfgruppe Kaeppner has been formed as an umbrella Living History Society for Luftwaffe re-enactment units.  Our aim is to unite Luftwaffe units based both within the UK and abroad so that we may set the standards of both uniforms and behaviour of all Luftwaffe re-enactors in order to give a historically accurate portrayal of our chosen units.

By pooling our knowledge and manpower all units within Kampfgruppe Kaeppner can learn from each other’s expertise and experience and at the same time pass on valuable knowledge to new members of the Kampfgruppe.

It is indeed a great honour for the FJR2 and the Hermann Goring Division to bear the name of a highly decorated Fallschirmjager veteran of many campaigns.  We re-enact to keep alive in some small way a part of history that changed the world we live in.  In order that people today don’t forget the sacrifices made by those young men and women all over the world, we honour the veterans of all nations that fought during the terrible time of WWII
