Kudos, you've stumbled upon Florida Tech's very own paintball team! The website is still under heavy development but it should be done either this month or the next (hopefully). But nevertheless, we are always looking for strong players. We'll be excited to hear from you. That being said, let me explain the basics.
Paintball Club is divided into two major sections; one section is speedball (type that is fast paced with a bunch of inflatable bunkers on a small field) and the other is woodsball/senario (set in the woods, junkyards, etc. and geared toward a more military style of play). Each section has their own meetings and practice schedules for its respective members which is determined by the captains. There is also a general meeting every once in a while so I can gather the club as a whole to discuss policy issues and whatnot. But now I'll give a bit more detail into each section.

Speedball
The captains you would want to get in contact with are Martin Bryant and Jake Koch. They usually hold practices the first and third Sunday of each month and have their meetings the Monday after practice (so the next day) to discuss what the team needs to work on. Which brings me to my next point. Within speedball, there are general members and then the team. The team consists of a select 8-10 players that exhibit a great amount of talent and sportsmanship. The team then goes on to compete in tournaments and events either locally or at other colleges (since FIT is a member of the NCPA, the National Collegiate Paintball Association). In the Fall '07 semester, the school was very grateful in granting us $1000 to compete in the PSP World Cup of Paintball held at Disney this October. But all that aside, those wishing to get on the team must attend every practice and meeting possible (granted, there are exceptions) and then will enter tryouts. The exact method of getting on the team is still being formulated but you will be informed of it at the first general infomation meeting at the beginning of the semester. But those not on the team are still expected to participate and attend meetings and practices.

Woodsball
Headed by Daniel Pizzi, practices and meetings are usually held on Sundays and Mondays respectively. The schedule is still being determined. But woodsball is more for recreational players who play occiasionally or for those who like dressing up in camoflauge, waiting for the perfect headshot. Most practices will be held at Hurricane Paintball Park in Palm Bay which contains a 20 acre senario field with three bases each with sniper towers set in three different settings (woods, jungle, and junkyard). The woodsball team will attend a few events locally in state as well.
Well, that about wraps things up. If you have any questions at all, please feel free to contact me or the captains for more information. We also have a bunch of goodies that we just baked complete with videos, pictures, and a forum if you'd like to ask any questions or just say hi. Post jokes, I'm a good fan of them. And please check out everything else we have to offer on the top of the page.
Also, very special thanks to our sponsors who help us out in every way possible. Be sure to head on over to the "Sponsors" page and check out their websites!
Keep on ballin'
