LOS ANGELES--(BUSINESS WIRE)--June 19, 2006--Herbalife Ltd. (NYSE:HLF) has announced sponsorship activity in Germany and Russia designed to both raise its brand profile and demonstrate the company's commitment to a healthy active lifestyle.
Herbalife is official nutrition sponsor as well as premium partner of the 24 hour Mountain Bike Race in Munich, part of the country's Oktoberfest activities. The event on September 22nd - 24th is being held in the city's Olympiapark and attracts some 1,500 competitors and up to 50,000 spectators. Herbalife will be represented by `Team Herbalife,' four cyclists competing on behalf of the company. The deal gives Herbalife branding on 35 information screens in prominent locations around the city, such as underground stations, as well as branded race numbers, marshal bibs and winners' podiums. The event will also afford the company's independent distributors extensive sampling opportunities via booths situated around the course.
The company joins other well known brand sponsors including Gore Bike Wear and Sigma. The sponsorship is in addition to the company's support of the annual Offenbacher Dragon Cup dragon boat race on June 24th - 25th, in Offenbach. As well as a named Herbalife dragon boat, independent distributors will be sampling throughout the weekend.
In Russia, the company has renewed its highly successful sponsorship of the Moscow International Peace Marathon for the third year. Participants from more than 40 countries are due to take part in what is regarded as one of the country's prominent sporting events, watched by thousands of spectators.
The sponsorship deal gives Herbalife extensive brand exposure on course banners, flags, balloons and posters as well as extensive sampling opportunities around the course. The main sponsor of the event is ASICS sports shoes.

"Circuito de Carreras Emocion Deportiva," Mexico's leading running circuit, is comprised of eleven races, including the world-renowned International Mexico City Marathon. The races take place June through December in Mexico City, Guadalajara, Monterrey, Cancun and Morelos, and are expected to attract approximately 45,000 runners and 500,000 spectators in all.

(NYSE:HLF) has become the title sponsor of 'The 1st KBS SKY Marathon with Herbalife,' taking place on Sunday, June 4, 2006 in Yangju City, Korea. The race is organized by KBS SKY, a major satellite/cable television operator and a subsidiary of KBS (Korean Broadcasting System). This sponsorship reflects Herbalife's long-term commitment to a healthy active lifestyle supported by good nutrition.
Marathons are one of the most popular sports in Korea, symbolizing health, wellness, fitness and fun. This event is expected to attract more than 3,000 participants from almost every province in Korea. (NYSE:HLF) continues its presence on the sporting field with the sponsorship of The Los Angeles Riptide, southern California's newest professional sports franchise in the Major League Lacrosse (MLL) league. The L.A. Riptide, owned and operated by AEG, starts its six-game home season June 3rd at The Home Depot Center in Carson, Calif. The Riptide is one of four expansion teams, in addition to teams from Chicago, Denver and San Francisco that will compete in the six-year old league's newly-created Western Division.
