Update for June 2006.
Well looks like the big tank above is going to have to go sigh.. We need our living room back and I fancy a new challenge so I am going to set up a smaller tank mybe get some lion fish they are so coool..Was it worth having a large tank?Oh yes indeed love it but now I have climbed that mountain I want to try something new.The sight will stay here for those of you starting out in marines and I will start on my new tank next month.Thank you for visiting this site and your posts in the guest book hope you feel inspired to take up the marine hobby. Will keep you posted...
Check out my wifes website with freewebs if your interested in chickens it's at www.freewebs.com/backyardhen |
If your going to buy marine fish then get that quarantine tank set up now and use it every time you purchase a new fish for your main tank once white spot is in your main tank its going to take 30 days with out fish in it to get rid of it and its just not worth all the expense and hard work involved.
In fact I will go one step further and say if your going to buy marine fish then you must have a quarantine tank set up before you buy them and they must be in it for 6 weeks yes 6 weeks...before going in your main tank. I have learned a hard lesson don't let it happen to you!
Read this forum feed back on the subject click here its full of really good advice and will help you big time also log on to reefcentral and read triggerfishs thread on an itch free tank http://www.reefcentral.com/forums/showthread.php?s=&threadid=595224
