Fish Hoek Aikdo has been running in Fishhoek for over 11 years and has a core group of commited students The club was formed when the current instructor Bruce Allemann (Forth Dan TBC) who lives in FishHoek was approached by a student to start teaching once a week at the Valleyland Gym. The club ran there until the lease was canceled at the center in 2007 and we moved to the Catholic Church Community Hall. The new hall has great space and privacy. Come and see. Sensei Bruce teaches most of the classes but has a group of committed students who share the load. There are adult lessons three times a week and one children's class a week.
We try and keep the fees as low as possible and the club is run on a non profit basis. FishHoek Akido is a member of the International Aikdo Federation (I.A.F.) with Hombu Dojo (Aikikai Foundation) in Japan and is affilated through The Aikido Federation of South Africa (A.F.S.A)
