Pledge Campaign
The Finance Committee have received just over half the Pledge cards they were expecting. Due to this and the assumption that a significant number of cards are to be returned, the closing date is next Sunday . Each Pledge card returned helps the Finance Committee to plan properly for 2010. If you have any questions regarding the Pledge cards or have never completed one and you are unsure how to, then please speak to any member of the Finance Committee and they will answer any questions you have.

Genealogy for the over 50s – A Family History Course for Beginners at Lisburn City Library
If you are over 50 and interested in researching your family history, why not contact staff at Lisburn City Library to enrol for this informative course. Participants will attend a total of 10 sessions designed for those starting out on their family history research. The concepts and principal sources of genealogy will be introduced in a relaxed and informal manner and help and advice will be available for independent research. Course tutor will be Brian Watson, who is a member of the Society of Genealogists Northern Ireland (SGNI). The course, courtesy of The Atlas Centre, will take place in Lisburn City Library each Thursday from 2.00pm – 4.00pm, beginning Thursday 14th January 2010 and concluding Thursday 18th March 2010. Admission is free but booking is essential as places are limited.
