Well dear reader; see the dates? Excuse me for my long silence... I've been very busy (had a lot on my mind; damn: am I growing up..?). However the music hasn't stop. Much is in progress, one of these things is the 19 (well.. yes) tracks (-on paper that is) I'm willing to work on. The progress on this I will write in this log.
For all the programmers around; really check out "les art du soleil" and "fuzed". These bands certainly deserve a chance!
That's a very small update. But more is to come soon.

It has been a long time indeed. Been 'travelling' around, live in a much more moving area now. But news is news: F. Catese along with Kaspro productions are going to feature on the much acclaimed soundtrack of "Pendule", the short-movie. This rhythmic, 'on-your-skin' production has the deadline around the 2nd of July. Of course there is still movement in the remaining songs (such as 'chuckle on a worn-out phrase', 'city's asleep', the bedazzling 'cousin Ignacio' and much others!).
Also work with other artists is a future plan. More news about all issues I will reveal when it's official...
'better to keep moving in progression, then to remain standing still...' - I'll try!!

New year, new news! F. Catese's CD-cover is finished. Next week the pressing can begin!
The guitar parts 've been played. This weekend and the coming week is the final work on the cd.
'Music plus'; Maastricht and 'Music machine'; Sittard have both been asked about the possibilities of becoming a selling point. Both agreed on conditions.
Letters have been written, Rights and codes have been purchased. Hope I cleared my way of droppin' this thang! C U soon.

To inform 'bout proceedings of the record: Track 01: nobody's gone - Mastered Track 02: Unconstrained (mucho gusto) - Mastered. Next week; recording guest musician (one o' them guitars on 'When') and the mastering of 'Les Lumieres'. I rest my case. Have a nice party the end of this month!

Tonight I'll scedule the date with the guest musician. Also will be clear the date of remastering. It's coming to an end folks!

Up-to-date news: the first two days of this week I've been working on the tracks. So I have good news, and the opposite... Horn section is completed. Mixing is completed. Almost done, really. But then there was a little problem. "Unconstrained" is probably damaged. So now I put my 'child' in the hands of my co-producer and wait if he can fix the problem. I hold no worries, 4 this will have a happy ending. Only it may take a little more time.
Sceduled: Guest musician has to play one part on "When", Mastering of all the tracks. That's it. As soon as more information is to come out, I'll inform. Stay tuned!

This week is an exception. No time 4 mixing and mastering. Though ideas concearning these two issues are abroad. Next week, respectively the 13th and probably the 14th of December the work continues. From my point of view it's not that much anymore. But to make the product of quality; I try to make the best of it.
Mini-album out: you can read about it in the "Trompetter" and "de Ster" (local newspaper; thank you!). Also the cd will be available at "Zoom records". I'm still planning when to negotiate with possibilities to make"Music plus" a selling point. But last-named will, I think, not be much of a problem (open 4 new input!). Adresses and dates: soon!
From here I'd like to wish everyone a fine holiday (best wishes!), but I think there will be another update next week!

Finally I can tell you about a date ("pheeew, now he tells!")!! The cd still being in the mix, the cover still in production, but the cd is due to come out the 3rd week of Januari. Pictures of the cover look very nice (thanx Audry!!).
news: 'Les Lumieres' is in a remix, 'when' is close to done, the horn sections will be recorded 4 the other 2 tracks. Thanx everyone for support and mails!

Horn sections need to accompany 2 songs (still). In reference of the music: details have been changed, yet, how valuable reggae crasher 'les lumieres' is, it will be changed. All will be well-substantiated, naturally!

Amazingly the drums were recorded. What a happening! Yesterday (monday) we edited and the first mix down was done. Still a lot of work but the quality and joy of listening are increased! The mixing and mastering takes it's time, but keep in touch with this site 4 the eventual release!

Recording part one is done. Soon part deux will be completed. Drums and extra's need to be done. After that it's the edit-mix-master down! Keep you all informed when the official date is due. On the 25th of October, the recording is going to begin. 7 Months working on this project has got my sight clear. Still there haunts a little, edged thought that things are not perfect. But I'm certain that my enthousiasm will paint that blank spot. From here on I have to thank my surrounding friends, far and close, and especially Barak (soon you'll see him on this site) and Josien Mennen. Well, as I mentioned, buy that cd and see if your name is on it! Places where you can get the cd will be written (all over..) on this site in about 2 weeks. Also look 4 the posters in Maastricht!

First and foremost I'd like to thank all the people 4 their reactions on the guestbook! (- you will all see yourself on the credits of the project!!!) 'Eso si que mola, ya esta!
Right now the exact date is not yet set, but recording will take place between 18 and 29 October. The tracklist is complete! "Camera Obscura" tracks are:
- "Unconstrained (mucho gusto)"
- "Nobody's gone"
- "Les Lumieres"
- "When"
- Unconstrained (mucho gusto) is a swinging latin/afro crossover. Like the foundation: Jazz, this track won't keep you sittin' still!
- Nobody's Gone is based upon the classic 3/4 soul. But there is a good edge at the track. The bass will throw you from one groove to another!
- Les Lumieres is for all the layed-back lovers. The track containes that fine, worked out 'lively' groove. Reggae with a special message. Check the chorus!
- When... Feel like chillin' down. Put all in perspective. I'll understand..! This track is based upon a poem, although; don't expect no violins! The rhythm changes will also change your head-hanging mood!
