About The Pokémon Moon RPG
This RPG - The Pokémon Moon RPG (TPMRPG) was started by Cless (not the Cless from Pokédox) and Xyphon. The Pokémon Moon RPG started as a version known as "Alpha 0.1", however it wasn't very good. It was my first attempt at programming an RPG, and it was pretty plain and badly coded. The layout was horrible, it was messy (as was the coding), and it wasn't very unique. Anyway, two months later, we had upgraded to "Alpha 0.2", in which I added more unique functions, edited my coding, made a better layout, and the sort, however, it was not very good either - some of you may remember Alpha 0.2.
A month or so later, in September, we knew that Alpha 0.2 was pretty bad, and therefore we decided to redo it - it was named Version 0.3 (we changed from "Alpha" to "Version"), and it was pretty amazing; it had unique functions, neater coding and content, etc. Eventually, the new generation of Version 0.3 came; Version 0.4. It was generally a version change with added features and layout changes, and it stayed that way from Version 0.3 to Version 0.6.
So, Version 0.6 was amazing... however, it started to gain huge downtimes as we reached 10,000 members, due to the fact that when I coded it, I did not know that SQL query (SQL is what stores all user data, Pokémon data, etc.) over useage would cause lag and/or server issues. This in turn made the server keep dying - we kept upgrading servers, and eventually, we had to start paying $800.00 to $1200.00 a month for our server... we knew that this wasn't worth it.
Since then, we created the new version - Version 0.7 X, in which the server load was reduced, the content was cleaner, the layout was WAY better, etc. Since then, the server price has been smaller, and we can add functions to the site much quicker. Version 0.7 X was started on March 09, 2008, and, it was, of course, used to make everything better and allow us to afford everything.
Anyway, other than version changes... this RPG was started by Xyphon and I because we wished to give users a unique Online Pokémon RPG experience - one mixed with Pokémon and fantasy games. With those two components mixed together, the possibilities expanded; Mining, Fishing, Feeding, Story Mode, Berry Patches, Minigames, etc.
This is all generally a summary of some of the events that have occurred over the past year, however countless more things have occurred, though explaining all of them would take too much time and would be somewhat pointless.
