FinnRock

Bringing You Finland’s Finest

Apologies

I have to do this. I have to apologize for the incredible lack of updates for the past who knows how long.  Things have come up in the past several months (that some may know of, fortunately or unfortunately for any of us) that have taken my attention far, far away from Finnrock.  Very few of them have been pleasant (a couple of concerts within a week of one another in between...other things).  Also, my MySpace, where I was getting much of my information (via band blogs, etc.) was phished, so I simply deleted it and started over, as this is the second time that this has happened and I can safely say that more than a few of my friends were also phished (which is how I was to begin with).  Once I get everyone back in one place and things calm down (if they calm down), I promise to try to get this place going again.

Thank you so, so much for being patient with me.

Introduction

If you haven’t figured it out from the title and banner, FinnRock has been put in place for the promotion of Finnish bands for selfish many reasons.  The bands include some of the most popular in America, such as HIM and the 69 Eyes, some of the vaguely familiar—Apocalyptica and The Rasmus, for example—and some that several people have never heard of, case in point Private Line, Lovex, Negative, Deep Insight, and Morian.

FinnRock will possibly also feature other bands as they’re run into on the ever-popular MySpace, but mostly on Trig.com (like MySpace only quicker, computer-friendlier, generally friendlier, and European run, so join us).

Here, you’ll find news as quickly as I can catch it, (American) tour dates as quickly as I can catch them, my pictures from those tours, and several forms of media.

Also, if you couldn’t tell, the goal is to get these bands (back) to America, but we can’t do that if they’re hardly known.  Help spread the word!  Let’s get these people over here.  It’s sad that some of them have played Japan and have yet to set foot on even a small American Stage.

Love it?  Hate it?  If you have any questions or comments, leave them in the guestbook.  Or you can just use the shout box.  The forum is also there for your amusement.
