Where were you for the last ten years? In case you've never seen fingerboarding or have been locked up and never seen the world, fingerboarding is exactly like skateboarding. The only difference is that fingerboarding is done with your fingers (hence, the name). These miniature skateboards are much safer than the real thing as your only using your fingers to execute tricks.
Tricks include everything you do on a real skateboard. From ollies, flips, grinds to vert and ramp tricks. The good thing is all you need is your fingers, a fingerboard and basically any surface. If you're looking for how to do tricks, go check out the nav bar and click "Tricktionary" for a large database of tricks you can do.
What you need for fingerboarding:
-Your fingers (If for some reason you do not have fingers, you can't fingerboard.)
-A fingerboard (preferably Tech Deck fingerboards)
-Surface to skate on (anything will do, however try to pick the surfaces with the least friction so you can do tricks such as grinds easier. You can also buy or build a skatepark, buy skateparks from Tech Deck, which are usually plastic minature ramps, verts, rails, etc. Building parks also works, use wood, cardboard anything that can last and is strong. Sometimes you don't even need to have a park. Just set up ring binders, textbooks, anything you can find. The key is to be creative and flexible.)

These are the official rules and if you want to be a good fingerboarder you better start following them...
1- You may only use 2 or 3 fingers.
2- You cannot use your thumb to ollie.
3- You cannot land with your palm across the board.
4- Your thumb may only be used in the air for a grab.
5- You cannot grab and throw your board.
6- You cannot catch the board and then land. You must land with your fingers!
Above all it's just common sense. Only do what feels legal.
